Happy in Bloom is a fresh, green floral from Clinique, the younger sibling of the classic Happy. I love it; the name fits perfectly: the lily and aquatic notes give a refreshing kick at the start before giving way to flowers and a very soft amber touch. It doesn’t have much sillage, making it ideal for summer, spring, or hot days; in cold weather, it loses its punch on my skin. The longevity is short, so I wear it at home or before bed because it’s not overwhelming. It leaves me feeling peaceful, like being near a garden by a lake with wet green grass and fragrant flowers. It evokes a spring morning after a night of dew. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but first I want to try other things. It reminds me of a note from vintage Kenzo Eau de Parfum, even though they don’t share ingredients, they do share the style.
