It’s my childhood perfume: I was gifted it fifteen years ago and bought it back out of nostalgia. It smells of white flowers, citrus, and very intense soapy and baby-powder notes. It reminds me of Nivea cream, bug spray, and Dove soap, but it doesn’t bother me. I feel like it’s been reformulated; I remember it as more animalistic and sensual, whereas now it feels more innocent. Still, the sillage and longevity are brutal. Be careful with the amount, or you’ll flood the room.
It’s not bad, it’s soft but doesn’t really speak to me and initially put me off. Overall, it’s wearable and you could gift it to anyone. It just doesn’t fit the Glow concept of radiance; it should be more exuberant and it isn’t. Nothing sexy, it’s an innocent fragrance. Too bad about the beautiful bottle that accentuates JLo’s curves. It does have that fresh-shower scent, though that wasn’t my first thought. The good thing is it lasts five hours without issue for the price. It could work for layering since it’s neutral; putting something with stronger notes on top, like citrus, would go well, because the grapefruit note isn’t noticeable as it should be at first.
Literally smells like an old lady…
Got a sample as a gift, and besides bringing back the 2000s vibe, it has this quirky touch: it doesn’t smell bad, it’s a pleasant blend, but be careful not to over-spray because it can get overwhelming. Perfect for personal spaces and at my age (40), don’t go overboard with the application. 😉
I first met Glow through an aunt who had it years ago; I’ve always liked its clean scent, like baby powder. In 2024, I decided to rebuild my collection and started with it for two reasons: I wanted a fresh scent for home, and the price is a steal. When I smelled it again, it seemed stronger than before, but over time and with proper aging, the sensation faded. If I had to define it: orange blossom with baby powder. I love it for hot days right after a shower or for sleeping; I don’t wear it out much because it makes me feel too trendy—it’s more for personal enjoyment at home. The trail and longevity are great; I sleep in it and it still smells soft the next day. I think it’s suitable all year round, though it has a special charm in spring: at my parents’ house, there was an orange tree that bloomed then, and I remember that delicious, romantic, and fresh scent that evoked childhood memories for me; now I enjoy it without any complications.
I followed the notes and reviews… I love the neroli and orange blossom, but on my skin, I only detect jasmine, amber, and a heavy musk. It has a soapy, familiar vibe I couldn’t place… until I remembered: it smells like old, used wooden hair curlers. That’s why some find it reminiscent of disinfectant or insecticide; it’s literally the scent of hair dye. It doesn’t stand out or evolve, so I’ll keep it as a bathroom freshener. A Meh! for me. Won’t be buying again.
Glow
I was looking for something cleaner, but it smells like soap, like you just washed up with Dove. It doesn’t really work for me.
It works great for me. Smells clean, perfect for everyday wear, and very easy to live with.
Smells like creamy Dove soap. What a pleasant surprise to try fragrances without prejudice. Forget the packaging that doesn’t match the contents; let me tell you what it smells like: a ‘you just got off the beach, used Dove, and put on Nivea or an aftersun’ moment… ET VOILÀ! Yes, it smells a bit synthetic, like drugstore stuff you don’t know if they’ll keep around. But it sticks around and has its point, hey! Within this style sits Nivea Eau de Toilette; soapy, musky fragrances for informal use and personal enjoyment. Luxury? No. Guilty pleasure? Maybe. Do I wear it and like it? Also yes.
I love it 🥰. It evokes a woman with soft skin. It smells clean, sweet, and has that baby powder touch that I adore.
I bought it blindly based on the rumor that it smells clean. It reminds me of laundry detergent, Dove-style creams, or floral versions of Nivea. If you like those scents, you’ll love Glow. It’s on sale right now. The longevity on clothes lasts over 24 hours. It’s not formal; it’s for enjoying and daily wear. It’s very versatile, good all year round except in extreme heat. For me, it extends the post-shower wellness feeling, very pleasant, though the opening is intense and might scare some. I won’t repurchase when it runs out, although I’ve rarely repeated perfumes in my life.
This fragrance confuses me. Sometimes I understand it as a bouquet of baby-powdered white flowers, warm and clean. Other times I feel a blast of disinfectant, an aseptic and artificial smell. It doesn’t settle for me, and on top of that, it lasts way too long on my skin; on bad days, it has given me nausea. It’s too intense, I don’t recommend it for heat.
They sold me this as fresh and clean, but it smells like aerosol insecticide. I didn’t like it at all, I used it as a bathroom air freshener.
It smells like body creams, clean, then it moderates and gains definition with the amber and vanilla base. Brutal longevity. I use it daily.
Here I want to distinguish ‘baby powder’ from ‘soapy’, which are often confused on websites. This fragrance is more soapy than baby-powdered. It’s fresh, clean, and slightly astringent due to the citrus. You can detect the orange blossom and a bit of rose. It reminds me of low-cost Venus soaps. It’s not unpleasant, but not for formal occasions; I use it after a shower to relax and sleep. Today I reviewed perfumes I bought in a body lotion and gel set, because their sillage is weak and longevity low, but for the price, it’s worth it.
Forget my comment from 2 years ago… I love it today! With that kind of love where I’d buy it a thousand times. My nose has evolved… Glow is a creamy foam bath that relaxes you and restores the freshness that summer steals.
It’s a fragrance that confuses me: it smells clean, very pleasant and relaxing. But I feel an excess of a very powdery rose with a synthetic nuance that overshadows the other notes from the start. Longevity is excellent, it lasts a long time on skin and clothes.
I tried this summer and thought it was very good: longevity, sillage, and aroma. But it’s not for me. Like with other clean scents, I think it’s the neroli or the floral blend that gives me a headache. Respectfully, I don’t agree that if you like D&G Light Blue, you’ll like this; they are very different clean scents: D&G is citrus and fresh, this JLo one is floral and soapy. Edit: I reread and realized I misunderstood a comment about D&G. I’m sorry for the confusion! I thought they cited JLo as similar, but basically I said the same thing: it’s not citrus but floral. My apologies.
Smells like bath soap 🙁
I’m hooked on that lily note; it brings back memories of the original Anais Anais. It smells like rose soap and gives a clean feeling, but don’t mistake it for fresh—it’s very floral. Maybe not for someone looking for something citrusy like DG Light Blue.
I’ve had this for months; it came as a gift with Enduring Glow. If I have to choose, I prefer Glow because it fits daily wear better and feels less synthetic. Both are fresh, but Glow is more soapy while Enduring Glow is sweeter. It’s a generic fragrance, smelling like post-shower skin or bar soap. If you want that freshly bathed scent, this budget option or the body lotion is enough. It doesn’t smell bad, it’s a perfume, but the first impression was that typical old-lady catalog rose. Now, after a rainy afternoon, I enjoy it for sleeping with the fresh balcony air. It has no projection, it’s just skin scent. Being relaxing, I use it at home or post-shower, though there are better body mists. I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s for personal enjoyment while you have it in hand.
I don’t want to compare it to others, just to affirm that it’s a clean, floral, and soapy scent. Ideal for after a shower to keep that fresh feeling on your body. I feel comfortable wearing it while doing housework. It’s quite synthetic, but for the price, you can’t ask for more.
To me, it’s a super bitter grapefruit with white flowers. It’s a clean scent but so astringent that it makes me feel uncomfortable. Extremely synthetic.
Looking for soapy perfumes online, I found Glow and bought it blindly. When I tried it, I got a powder scent like an old lady’s lacquer that threw me off. On the other hand, it smelled like sunscreen, which I love. As I use it every day, I notice more of that clean scent (white flowers and sandalwood), and practically, the lacquer smell is gone. Still, no matter how much cologne I spray, I never smell enough, and I don’t see any projection. I like it to extend the shower moment, wear it around the house, or sleep with it; it’s fine for smelling on yourself or spraying clean sheets. For the price, I didn’t expect much, but I’ll enjoy it. I don’t think I’ll buy it again, though we’ll see in the summer. P.S.: I don’t understand those who say it smells like insecticide; it doesn’t at all!
Super strong at first, then it just leaves a cheap, persistent soap smell.
My passion for perfumes has gone through several stages; now I’m obsessed with soapy scents. I wanted to try it a year ago and bought it blindly online at a good price. Indeed, it’s a little bar of soap, like a body cream. It’s very linear: the opening is strong but lasts only 15 minutes with that sensation, then it softens. I can’t really distinguish the notes, just the rose. It’s pleasant but feels a bit vintage. On my skin, it has great longevity; at the end, there’s a weird little scent left, but it doesn’t bother me. This perfume is a compliment magnet.
If it smells clean and creamy, it’s more accurate to say it smells like Dove cream. It’s not a world-beating perfume, but I loved it because it gets me out of the floral, sweet, and citrus zone. It’s for daily use and versatile; it’s basically Dove made into perfume. And it’s cheap; I got it for $28 at a department store in Mexico.
Glow had the potential to dazzle me but didn’t deliver, not because it’s unpleasant but due to its imbalance and lack of substance. It’s like they chopped off its base, leaving it unsupported. Sometimes I catch fleeting, almost imperceptible hints of sandalwood or musk, but they appear and disappear without solidity. As for the rest of the base notes, no trace. If Glow were a toy, it would be a wobbly one: it stumbles and you don’t know where it’s going. The scent is very pretty; I can’t fault it there, and it could be even more beautiful if it weren’t synthetic, though it’s not among the worst I’ve smelled. It doesn’t remind me of insecticide or repellent, unlike others comment. In the opening, I do detect an air of citronella where there should be grapefruit. I don’t hate citronella, but it’s often used to substitute more expensive citrus essences. I’m not claiming this is the case, but the opening could have been more subtle with lemon, lime, or petitgrain essence. The orange blossom and neroli are a prelude to something that could have been but wasn’t: a meager bouquet of neroli and jasmine without juice or consistency. Does it leave a clean feeling? Yes, but I don’t find the creamy body milk texture everyone talks about; its trail on me is like a bath gel, not even a mist. From the second minute, it’s just skin scent with no projection. More than a Jennifer movie, by half an hour it’s most like a Chuck Norris one: it disappears in combat. Maybe my bottle, bought 5 months ago, came off the production line years ago since it’s no longer in physical stores. Or it’s a pH thing; I don’t know. As an aroma, it works for me, but it’s a pity it’s so lame because it looks like an embryo of Gucci Bloom that never grew up. Maybe other skins will have more luck; it’s pretty. For now, I use it for sleeping, and it fulfills its purpose.
It smells clean to the max, like extending the shower moment all day. It’s a creamy, powdery, and crystal-clear scent. I bought it last year to try, and without realizing it, with a decent collection already, I’ve used more than half of the 100ml bottle. I’ve used it a lot in the mornings all year; it’s impossible for it to bother anyone, and it’s noticeable, but I feel the perfect time is summer for that cleaning effect without falling into the typical Light Blue trap. I’ll definitely replace it again and again; I love it!
Top celebrity perfume. It’s floral, soapy, and powdery—a bouquet of white flowers that smells clean and spring-like. I love JLo perfumes, and this is one of the best.
I tried it in 2005 and it was a resounding NO. I put it on my blacklist because it smelled indefinable, like an ‘old lady’ perfume. In the store, I literally went to the bathroom to wash it off with water and soap. I wish they had reformulated it, but I’m not even up for trying it again.
It smells powdery and clean. The longevity is 8 hours or more on skin and lasts days on clothes. I recommend it more for daytime wear in any season.
I bought it blindly because of the hype and… no… no… NO… it’s not for me. I’m into gourmand scents, though I’ve loved some citrus, dark woody, and masculine ones. This smells like soap, but not the fine kind. It disappointed me. EDIT: We’re getting to know each other and it no longer just smells like soap; now I do notice the white flowers. We’re heading toward a relationship.
I’m obsessed with this perfume, although I do notice it’s a bit synthetic. I wore it in winter (it’s too much for summer daytime) and it’s the most praised in my collection. It smells like clean clothes, detergent, Barbie, second skin, but with a fantastic, crystal-clear, hyper-feminine shine. It’s nude. No one knows if you’re wearing perfume or just showered, but you smell good. It’s different from the rest: at night, it leaves everyone speechless, even though it’s a daytime scent. I don’t get why so many men and women love it. They compliment me excessively, which fascinates me. To me, it’s sweet and clean, but it has something sexual and carnal. As someone said: ‘What perfume are you wearing? It smells crazy good!’. A colleague said it smelled like insecticide, but it slid off me because I like it so much. Sometimes I wear weird perfumes like Kenzo Jungle and I don’t care. When people compliment you like that, no one complains. I feel gorgeous in it. It’s not for the invisible ones. It’s fine if you like clean, creamy scents. A bit citrusy, floral, soft, bright, fine, clean, and creamy. Great performance and extraordinary longevity. Moderate-to-high sillage. Everything at a low price. Finishing it and restocking is what matters.
Creamy, softly floral, and sweet. It’s not fine, but it’s a basic for going to work feeling clean. It doesn’t smell natural or sexy, but it is feminine and wearable. Matter of taste. It doesn’t last long on me, focusing on a touch of sandalwood and vanilla at the end.
I tried this perfume a few days ago and I didn’t like it at all. Sorry! It smells ‘X’. I agree with whoever said it smells like insecticide, haha…
JLo Glow is one of my favorites. It runs out and I already buy the next one. People say I smell good and want to know what perfume it is. I met it years ago at a duty-free store and it was love at first sniff. It smells fresh, spring-like, powdery, clean, like just out of the shower, and lasts all day. Plus, it doesn’t cost a fortune.
Edit to my comment: I let myself be carried away by the reviews and yes, it’s a clean perfume for summer and spring. The price is good, but the body lotion scent is too synthetic. Although its longevity isn’t that great (more on clothes), it has the ability to overwhelm without leaving compliments or letting others feel it. I’ll try to use it and then move on.
I don’t love it, it’s not my favorite. But for some reason, it’s one of the perfumes that has gotten me the most compliments. Even an aunt asked me to get it for her. It’s one of the soapy perfumes. You’ll smell fresh and clean. Ideal for hot climates or summer nights.
