Descripción
Fatena by SoOud is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2013, this composition features an olfactory pyramid crafted by a master perfumer. The top notes unfold a spicy and exotic accord with saffron, pink pepper, ginger, and frankincense. The heart reveals a sweet and floral blend where peach, caramel, patchouli, valley lily, and jasmine come into dialogue. Finally, the base notes anchor the essence with leather, oud wood, benzoin, woody notes, vanilla, cyperus, Peru balsam, labdanum, and musk.

Decent perfume, unisex but with a feminine edge. Opens very spicy with saffron and pink pepper, mixed with oud and peach. Soon, leather emerges with a caramelized dry-down. The oud is more woody than animalic, though it has a slight scratchy ‘fecal’ nuance without being exaggerated. The saffron settles and then becomes linear. It doesn’t progress through clear stages, but it’s rich in subtleties; if you’re looking for the leather or the peach, those notes come through. It’s a sharp fragrance where the ingredients are easily distinguishable. Longevity and performance are good, especially in the first few hours. I wear it in any climate except extreme heat, suits both day and night. I enjoyed it, but the peach smells a bit too feminine to me. The ingredients are top-notch and it’s very well crafted, although the steep price doesn’t attract me as much.
Good vibes, unisex but with a slightly feminine touch. The opening is spicy with saffron and pink pepper, paired with oud and peach. Soon, leather kicks in with a caramelized base. The oud leans more toward wood than animalic, with a subtle ‘fecal’ note but nothing over the top. The saffron settles and then stays fairly linear. It doesn’t evolve in distinct phases, but it’s full of nuances; if you’re after the leather or the peach, those notes shine through. It’s a crisp perfume where each ingredient stands out clearly. Performance is good—very prominent in the first few hours with decent longevity. I wear it in any weather except extreme heat, works great for day or night. I like it, but the peach smells a bit too feminine for my taste and holds me back a bit. The ingredients are high quality and it’s very well made, though the high price isn’t as appealing anymore.
It’s a complex fragrance! The first time I tried it in winter, the cold made it evaporate from my skin so fast I didn’t have time to analyze it. In spring, I finally understood: it’s a spicy opening, slightly intoxicating with a mentholated twist, like it carries a liquor note it doesn’t actually have. Seconds later, the oud emerges—woody yet wearable—followed by frankincense and then leather. The peach and caramel add a sweetness (without being sweet at all) and a playful vibe that keeps it from being harsh or irredeemably masculine, though I still see it more on a man. As it dries down, I still catch that fruity liquor note with a smoky haze from the frankincense; paired with the oud and leather, it’s worlds away from church incense, evoking a night out, drinks, and cigarettes—the lingering scent on someone who’s been near a smoker. I’m not crazy about that smell, but it intrigues me, it evokes danger… and most of the time, danger is tempting.
