Smells heavily of laurel, anchored by clove, geranium… patchouli… beyond that, its leather note (which doesn’t last long on my skin) reminds me of freshly polished shoes with that cleaning liquid sometimes used and shoe polish. The combination of what might be mentholated pine and the other green notes results in a “weird” smell. If ELDO’s intention was to recreate a “suspicious” aroma, so to speak, to symbolize the “traitor,” I think they’ve managed it to some extent. It leaves me with a sober, ochre, earthy impression. Overall, it seems like a fragrance leaning towards a male audience, with a certain retro touch. A “macho” aroma, without being rough. For some reason, it gives me sensations (not strictly olfactory) of what in my country we call ‘café cerrero’ (something similar to Italian espresso, but brewed over wood, among other details)… it also vaguely reminds me of the taste of Campari. When you add too much laurel to a dish, it becomes bitter… I think that’s what I perceive, and since I don’t like bitterness, this fragrance and I haven’t clicked. However, I’ll give it more tests on other skins to see how it smells 🙂 It has good longevity and average sillage. The phase I liked most, without a doubt, is the dry-down, when I perceive it much lighter, drier, and more vegetal. I think the ideal climate to wear it is when it’s not too cold or too hot… in well-ventilated spaces, it projects an interesting trail, very different from the sweet, musky, and somewhat heavy designer “for men” fragrances that abound in the current market. Thanks for the sample, friend <3
I swear I had a review of this fragrance, but after checking, I don’t. I’m wearing it today at home in cool weather with the AC on. It’s not an easy scent, but the review from the user before me is a thorough and spot-on analysis.
