My favorite summer scent since 2012; it’s the most innovative and distinct from the original line. The orange-yuzu opening immediately reminds you of the classic, which is special. It smells more natural and less sharp than the original, but it’s clearly still an Issey. After the opening, the tobacco, sandalwood, and vetiver give off a warm dry-down. The orange and tobacco blend recalls Gucci Pour Homme but lasts longer; while its projection is moderate to low compared to the classic Issey (which I find has high-to-moderate projection), it’s a huge success. If you’re expecting a classic Issey with an orange twist, keep in mind this is something more: it stands on its own, just like the Intense and Fraiche versions.
