Descripción
Eau Belle D'Azzaro by Azzaro is an aromatic citrus fragrance for women. Launched in 1995, the nose behind this composition is Nathalie Feisthauer. The top notes reveal yuzu, bergamot, mandarin, and peach; the floral heart unfolds with freesia, cyclamen, and gardenia; while the base notes settle on cypress, cedar, honey, and amber.

Discontinued Azzaro fragrance. Citrus opening with very airy, fresh yuzu notes and a soft, honeyed touch of peach that is the best part. It evolves into floral middle notes of freesia, which feel a bit synthetic and cheap. The entire batch dries down to a dominant woody base of cypress with a soft, sweet aftertaste from the amber and honey blend. The final impression worsens and isn’t entirely pleasant: a soapy, creamy, clean scent lingers in the background, reminiscent of Ferré’s Gieffeffe. Perfectly unisex for these times, ideal for summer, with moderate longevity and a soft sillage. Rating: 2.5.
I had it as a teenager and loved it. Years later, I searched for it but it was discontinued; I went to a perfumery and only the tester was left, so I begged them to sell it to me, and eventually, they did. I kept it for years without finishing it, holding out to keep a little bit in the bottle because I was reluctant to let it run out. But years later, I found it in stock again and bought three bottles. I still have a bit of the last one and keep it like a treasure. Maybe it’s not the best cologne for many people; it’s citrusy, fresh, soft, and with bold touches; for me, it’s the ideal scent. It puts me in a good mood, it doesn’t get tiring, it smells clean, and for the price, it lasts quite a while, at least in my case. It doesn’t seem unisex; it’s ideal mainly for spring; in fact, it reminds me of her. What a shame they stopped making it. I haven’t found anything else like it.

Explosive, dry, and bitter citrus opening with a herbal note that even seems musty. After 20 minutes, that dry sensation fades and the cyclamen timidly tries to make itself known, struggling against the citrus wave. At 45 minutes, herbal reminiscences remain, which smell like celery to me (similar to DKNY Be Delicious or Salvador Dalí Laguna Maravilla); I can’t describe it exactly, but it’s interesting, though nothing sublime. After an hour, only the cypress is felt. The scent gradually diminishes until it vanishes into a very soft talc, maintaining that synthetic herbal note reminiscent of how Laguna Maravilla dries. It’s not unpleasant; it feels fresh and sparkling, nothing fruity, and on my skin, nothing sweet. It could be used for sports or the office—it’s not aggressive, more of a curious scent that only someone very close (I see it as unisex) would notice. In its final phase, which on my skin starts at 2 hours, unfortunately, nothing remains, just a talc-like smell. It’s pleasant but forgettable. Maybe my skin just doesn’t play well with this type of perfume anymore. A blind buy that didn’t work out, but at a very low cost, considering it’s almost impossible to find anymore. I’m left with the experience of having known it.

Although more than 25 years have passed, I still remember the impression of discovering the first bottle of Eau Belle at the perfumery in El Corte Inglés. I loved its aquatic color and the shape of the chained soap bubbles. I thought it had to smell fresh, like a bath. However, I remember the bottle more than the scent, and I suspected the fragrance didn’t impact me as much as the presentation. Fortunately, I found a miniature in my collection. I wore it this morning, and at first, I didn’t smell the citrus, but rather something of bitter peach. I thought it had gone bad until I read the review by @Ya-nu-Shi. Then, that aroma lasted quite a while above the flowers before mixing with the cypress and cedar. I suppose that’s why I remembered the bottle more than the scent. EDIT: I still think the miniature might be spoiled, because in its final phase, the ‘Belle’ description would fit it much better.
A citrus fragrance with green notes that dries down to an aquatic finish. It smells clean and fresh without being overpowering. I wore it during my pregnancy and it gave me the sensation of fresh soap right after a shower. It’s gentle and timeless.

I have precious memories of this perfume: my dad gave it to my mom for her birthday. It left a fresh, sweet trail full of energy, joy, and a sense of cleanliness and softness. I would secretly wear it to go to school in the morning. It was timeless, usable all year round. In the scent, I could really smell the bergamot, the flowers, and the cypress, which gave it a very aquatic touch. It was a jewel to me, even though I was too young to fully appreciate it. It became my mom’s signature scent. What a pity they discontinued it; I could never smell it again.
