It stuck to the Roberto Cavalli Parfum almost identically. It’s oriental and very rich.
This smells rich and reminds me a lot of Roberto Cavalli Parfum.es, almost the same, I’d say. It’s a very delicious oriental scent.
I totally agree, it smells very similar to Roberto Cavalli EDP. It’s a very interesting perfume that my aunt uses, but it’s already discontinued. I don’t know if they’ll bring it back.
Launched by Elizabeth Taylor in 1993, Diamonds & Emeralds is a powerful floral. This feminine aroma blends green top notes of white rose, water lily, and gardenia, with base notes of carnations and jasmine. Ideal for daytime, it belongs to the casual line of feminine perfumes. The opening combines white rose, gardenia, apricot sweetness, peach, mandarin, hyacinth, orange blossom, and green accords. The heart features jasmine, lily of the valley, carnation, neroli, rose, magnolia, and tiger lily. The base is vanilla, amber, musk, patchouli, and tonka bean.
I bought it blind along with Diamonds and Rubies and, without a doubt, I like this fragrance much more. It starts with juicy mandarins and sweet peaches that I enjoy instantly. Then the gardenias emerge, sweet white flowers, and a powerful, balsamic, seductive neroli with a bitter touch of carnation. It’s more versatile and softer than Rubies; here the mandarin softens the spices and the rose, changing the color from red to white. The amber and vanilla base adds warmth and sweetness, orienting the scent, but the musk and tonka bean notes keep it clean and sweet, leaning it toward a delicious floral. While Diamonds and Rubies is red, passionate, and nocturnal, this one is white, sweet, balsamic, and floral for day and night. I agree it reminds me of Roberto Cavalli, but for me, this smells more intense and sweet, ideal for autumn and winter, while the Cavalli seems lighter for spring and summer. It lasts up to 8 hours with a soft trail that sticks to the skin at 4 hours, inviting closeness. It’s sensual, unequivocally feminine, an elegant and classic floral without being heavy. It’s a cheap perfume, only found online, that would put many fashion fragrances in their place. Like the Elizabeth Arden line, it’s made with dignity so all women can enjoy quality and style without spending extra. As Yadorán says, its price is ridiculous, almost offensive, given the value of the aroma.

What really grabs me is the neroli, the flower that dominates the whole aroma. It’s not a bomb, just at the start; then it calms down and becomes soft. The ingredients are good for the price, though I sense a synthetic touch. The bottle is very elegant, nothing cheap. It’s versatile, perfect for day, afternoon, or night.
What I notice most is the neroli, and among all the flowers, it stands out the most. It’s not a strong perfume, maybe only at first, since it softens afterward. As for ingredient quality, it’s acceptable given the price, though I do feel a bit synthetic. That said, the bottle is incredibly elegant without looking cheap. A versatile fragrance, perfect for day, evening, or night.
Just received this perfume, ordered online at Walmart Ciudad de México. At first, it’s strong, but over time it becomes subtler, and I think the neroli is what dominates. It’s economical but has a luxurious, chic touch—very attractive. I bought it blind, so I’ll see if it convinces me in the coming days. Years ago I used White Diamonds, which was and still is my favorite, but now I wanted to try this. Maybe later I’ll buy the other Elizabeth Taylor ones for the collection. Hi to all the perfume enthusiasts.
Horror, dread, and terror. I bought this because the price was great, without even smelling it first. I read the positive reviews (which I don’t understand now) and was eager to try it. Upon opening it, the design perfectly matched the name ‘Diamonds and Emeralds,’ evoking luxury and glamour. But when I smelled it, I was horrified by that musty odor of an old woman in a fur coat. It reminded me of a stale perfume my grandmother kept in the bathroom cabinet. I can’t quite define it, but it doesn’t smell like a fragrance that makes you feel good. Plus, its sillage is heavy and its longevity maximum; if it lands on your clothes, it smells until you wash them. I tried wearing it hoping to get used to it, but I couldn’t. Not suitable for anyone under 65.
Total horror. I bought it for the price without even smelling it. I read good reviews (which I don’t understand now) and wanted to try it. When I opened it, the bottle perfectly matched the name ‘Diamonds and Emeralds,’ evoking luxury. But when I smelled it, I got scared: it smells like my grandma in a fur coat. I remembered my grandma’s rancid perfume. I can’t define it, but it doesn’t make me feel good. Plus, the trail is super heavy and lasts forever. If it gets on your clothes, it smells until you wash them. I tried to get used to it, but I can’t. Not suitable for anyone under 65.
I’m going to buy it. I’ve been on the site for a week and I have to say, that ‘politically correct’ gerontophobia in the fragrance comments really grinds my gears. It seems vulgar to link perfumes to age and counterproductive to call it ‘old lady smell.’ What is that? In the end, we all age (if we’re lucky). It’s a shame.
I found it yesterday at the train station, it promises well. I guide myself more by the notes than by the comments. I love that little scent of apricot, it’s not penetrating; so far I’ve only put it on my forearm and it lasted its time. I haven’t heard of a bad-smelling or low-quality Elizabeth Taylor perfume yet. The price couldn’t be better, I paid about $13 for the 100ml Eau de Toilette bottle. I don’t think I’ll change my mind, it’s a classic perfume that goes well in all occasions.
Got it at the train station yesterday and it delivers. I trust the notes more than reviews. I love that apricot touch; it’s not overpowering. So far, I’ve only sprayed it on my forearm and it lasted its usual time. To date, I haven’t found any bad smell or poor quality in Elizabeth Taylor. The price can’t be beat—I paid about $13 for the 100ml Eau de Toilette. I don’t think I’ll change my mind; it’s a classic that works for any occasion.
After my good experience with Diamonds and Rubies, going for Diamonds and Emeralds was a must. The general description was: white floral with peach touches, similar to Rare Gold (a fragrance I love). My surprise was finding a gardenia note, but less majestic, sharing the spotlight with the rest. The opening is very peachy, slightly cloying, as if we were sprinkling sugar over the skin of a ripe apricot. Slowly, that opening gives way to a gardenia with neroli and shy jasmine touches. I say ‘shy’ because I don’t think the gardenia shines as much as in Madonna’s Perfume, Fracas, or Versace Blonde. In my opinion, the white florals don’t quite shine due to the strong presence of amber vanilla with tonka bean, which settles quickly in the heart. The gardenia is there, undeniable, but fights too hard to be more noticeable and struggles to fit between the overwhelming sweetness of the apricot and the semi-spiced part of the vanilla/tonka combo. It’s a heavy perfume due to that histrionic sweetness; the sillage is moderate to light, but the longevity is extremely long. It’s sensual, my favorite part is when it settles well on the skin after an hour. If I compare it to Rare Gold, Avon uses aldehydes to effervesce the white flowers, giving them more room. Added to the fact that the mandarin and peach are fresher. I notice that sugary, ambered apricot of Charlie Gold. I also compared it with Elizabeth Taylor’s Gardenia and they are quite different: Gardenia has the flower much more prominent, with aquatic lily-of-the-valley touches and green tones, it’s fresher; Emeralds is spicier. I like it, not as much as Rubies, which I find less cloying and with more room for the Rose, where the peach or vanilla don’t saturate it so much. Still, Emeralds is a good option, the vanilla tonka bean base is very sensual, the scent is superior to its price, and the good longevity is another plus.
I agree with Javiera1989, perfumes have no age and jewels like these scents will never go out of style.
As Javiera1989 says, perfumes don’t have an age, and scents like this are classics that never go out of style.
Finally, I have ‘Diamonds And Emeralds’ back in my hands and on my skin. I used it for the first time at 26, and from then on, it became harder and harder to find, along with ‘Gardenia’, ‘Sparkling White Diamonds’, and ‘Diamonds And Sapphires’, and yes, I’m a fan of the entire Elizabeth Taylor range. They are wonderful, each with a unique personality, a jewel, and this one in particular is pure neroli, peach, and apricot, which I adore. Yes, it’s a strong perfume; some reviews label it for mature women and I find that ridiculous, because I’ve always defended that perfume has no age, it only reflects a moment, a personality, and a mood. Now, as I’m approaching 50, thanks to these cosmic miracles, I found that several stores in Chile sell them, so I bought them all again without guilt; they are very affordable and that’s appreciated. I couldn’t leave without Diamonds And Emeralds. As the hours pass, its trail becomes soft and creamy, but it never disappears; its sober and elegant sweetness accompanies me until the next day, as it has a fixation that other more expensive perfumes would kill for. I think the white rose gives it a distinctive and romantic touch, because certainly this is a perfume to seduce; if someone finds it strong, they should definitely prefer a cologne. I stay with Diamonds And Emeralds and wear it with ease and no fear.
For me, the best of Elizabeth Taylor perfumes, super long-lasting and noticeable. I’ve been using it for many years and it remains one of my favorites.
Flowers, flowers, and more flowers. That’s what I perceived in this fragrance by Mrs. Taylor. But as I always say about Elizabeth Taylor, all her fragrances tell a story, a moment she wanted to frame. Diamonds and Emeralds is total bliss, relaxing in every way. Here, Mrs. Taylor wanted to frame a moment in her Beverly Hills mansion, where her gardenia gardens perfumed everything and her huge pool. In this perfume, I can feel her soaking up the sun with an oily bronzer (it has a creamy texture), I smell the pool very well, and a background of gardenias from her gardens, plus eating a ripe, delicious peach while sunbathing. That’s what Elizabeth Taylor wanted to frame: that iconic moment of relaxation she memorized perfectly. If you want to live this story, buy Diamonds and Emeralds. It’s very pretty for relaxing moments, casual wear, summer nights free from worries. Lasts approx. 6 hours (good for an Eau Toilette). I see it for personal use, like aromatherapy, for reading, sunbathing, or strolling along the waterfront at sunset. It’s beautiful!
Flowers, flowers, and more flowers. That’s what I perceive in this Mrs. Taylor fragrance. But as I always say about her perfumes, she tells a story, a memory, a moment she wanted to frame to return to it with a spray. Diamonds and Emeralds is total relaxation, relaxing in every way. I bought it blind for $11. I loved it, though not immediately because you have to understand it: IT SMELLS LIKE A BUNCH OF FLOWERS, so if you don’t like flowers, it’s not for you. It’s definitely not a scent for older people as some claimed. It’s for all ages, comfortable and relaxing. I’ve been wearing it for three nights to sleep, I love smelling it so much that it relaxes me. If you love flowers, this is for you.
It just didn’t convince me. The peach is very noticeable; it’s not just flowers like some say, the fruity aspect emerges in the evolution. A powerful gardenia drowns out the neroli and patchouli, which I’m usually drawn to in other perfumes. Positive points? Price, longevity, sillage, and performance. 4/10.
The Elizabeth Taylor family never disappoints me. Diamonds and Emeralds is a pure bridal bouquet, white flowers to the max. What stands out most is the gardenia with green notes, very clean and polished. It smells soapy, much more than White Diamonds. It has fruity notes that give it a sweetness without being overwhelming, always accompanying the gardenia. Lasts forever on clothes, leaves an immaculate trail, and stays well on skin; everyone loves it. I loved it, on par with White Diamonds. Ideal for spring, gives the sensation of walking under an orange tree, green and floral. Perfect for a bride or a boss, someone polished. 10/10, you can feel Elizabeth’s presence in every scent.
Don’t follow the haters copying Gatuna… this perfume has no age, only the person wearing it does. Why do beginners judge? What a horror. It’s sweet, floral, and fruity. Yes, it has that vibe of the big perfumes of the 90s, but after keeping it ultra-protected, I was surprised by how well it performs: everything is perfectly balanced here, peach with flowers, delicious.
