  • It’s sweet, vanilla-forward, like Nutella, almost almond-like. Charming thanks to the creaminess of the sandalwood that makes it exquisite and sexy. It’s synthetic and affordable, lasts forever, and leaves an incredible trail. It’s a nighttime scent for cool weather and romantic outings. Youthful and charming, it guarantees male compliments. If you like sweet fragrances that get you compliments, this is ideal.

  • Meleagrina80

Nice perfume, much cheaper than Britney Spears’ Fantasy and quite similar. If you like that one, you’ll love Ciel Nuit even more, especially considering the price. In terms of longevity, it has nothing to envy.

  • theperfumealchemist

It’s very good. If you like sweet fragrances, you’ll love it. Out of the entire Ciel collection, it’s my favorite along with the classic.

  • In my experience, it lasts less than the other Ciel scents (about 4 hours instead of 5 or 6) and becomes almost exclusively sweet vanilla, losing the other notes, especially in projection. What a shame about the bad chemistry with my skin, because on the bottle and on paper it smells very nice.

  • Very sweet, too sweet. It’s invasive, and I don’t tolerate that much sweetness, but I recommend it to those who love really sweet perfumes.

  • Eli_k_eli

I love it, though among the tested ones (Classic Ciel, Rosé, D’été, Nuit, Crystal, Noir), it’s not my favorite—that honor goes to Ciel Noir, which is more sophisticated. This is my second favorite. I’ve bought it several times: it’s super sweet. I’ve never tried Britney’s Fantasy, but since it’s listed as similar and a dupe, anyone who likes Fantasy should try it. On my dry skin, it’s pure vanilla, a bit powdery (I like it because with a few sprays it’s delicate, though with many it gets synthetic). I smell vanilla and something fruity; very little floral, I don’t detect jasmine (a pity), and maybe a hint of peach. If you don’t like vanilla, you won’t like this. It’s youthful, sometimes reads as teenage (I’m past 30), but I still love it. It’s simple, gourmand, almost like a dessert. Linear, smells the same from start to finish. Ideal for teens or young girls who adore sweetness. It was my daily in college (ages 18–20), worn during the day in fresh weather or at night for its longevity. Lasts about 5 hours, then fades to skin scent. It’s good, pretty, and cheap, versatile for day/night but better for cooler climates. Totally worth the price.

I owned Fantasy for years and can compare them well. They’re similar but not the same: Fantasy is more complex, less synthetic, and creamier thanks to the chocolate and cupcakes that Ciel Nuit lacks. Ciel Nuit is super sweet, has very little floral, and no specific fruits; it smells like vanilla and sandalwood with a powdery vibe. It’s linear, shines in winter, and is comfortable day or night. Even though it feels synthetic, it’s lovely, pleasant, and guys like it. It’s affordable, has great projection, and comes in a nice bottle. Totally worth it for sweet lovers—a budget gem.

  • Perfumerie

Cannon has so many fragrances; the database is missing Ciel Rose, Magic, the Prune I, II, and III, the Paula ones, and others.

  • It’s a classic I’ve worn for years because it balances citrus and florals just the way my skin demands. I never get tired of it and always come back to it.

  • I’ve loved it since I was 15 in high school, and at 30 it’s still a staple in my collection—I’m on my sixth bottle. It’s my affordable daily scent. Even though I own Fantasy, they’re not alike: Ciel Nuit is fresh, fruity, and citrusy with a sweet touch, while Fantasy is gourmand with cupcakes and chocolate. Maybe the quince adds some tartness, but they don’t share notes.

  • locadelosperfumes

Good perfume. It feels very vanilla and sweet with a citrus touch. I like it, even if it doesn’t make me fall in love.

  • It opens with citrus notes, then vanilla appears (a bit synthetic but pleasant) and settles in linearly. Although it’s vanilla-forward, it has a fresh, youthful spirit, perfect for any age and for daily wear. Very rich and lovely. The longevity is short; I agree it’s the shortest-lasting in the Ciel line.

  • A gourmand for everyday wear. It starts with fruity and green notes, then feels like a delicious dessert <3.

  • Perfumadict

I used to wear it in college and loved it, until I got tired of the cloying sweetness and stopped restocking it. It deserves a chance for gourmand lovers.

  • cata__________

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but it’s too sweet and cloying, as if something went wrong in making a night perfume. I can’t find any peach or lime; honestly, it gives me nausea and is impossible to wear outside the house. Very heavy and not youthful at all.

  • I’m a huge fan of sweet scents, so I’d never criticize this. Ciel Nuit is super sweet and powdery at first, but the base is softer, though still slightly sweet. In the Ciel line, there’s one for every woman; I recommend it for those who enjoy strong aromas. It lasts about 3 hours on skin and is perfect for cloudy, cool days—not for hot weather because it can be suffocating.

  • Perfumada0022

Ciel Nuit is sweet, similar to Britney’s Fantasy Midnight. I use it very sparingly because it projects a lot; I think it’s ideal for cold climates and night outings. If you don’t spritz it lightly, it becomes overwhelming. It starts sweet and then vanilla sticks to the skin.

  • I love it! Just like Britney’s. In my olfactory map, it takes me straight to Loewe’s Quizás Quizás Quizás.

  • CatalinaSmum

It doesn’t smell like Britney or Natura; Ciel Nuit is fruitier and more wearable. It’s also not the red berry splash… Oh, this obsession with finding clones everywhere. It’s a rich, sweet, fruity fragrance with a fresh touch and surprising longevity for the price, but I never felt brave enough to buy it because it’s so mass-produced.

  • It lasts and highlights the vanilla, but on my skin it smells like bad memories of an ex who wore it in the heat with sweat. I can’t even stand the scent (sorry if it makes anyone gag).

  • Ciel Nuit 💜 didn’t come out in 2017; they should fix that like they did with other Ciel scents. I used it in 2010, and it was my first sweet scent, even though I prefer citrus, ozonic, floral, and aquatic notes. I was attracted to it because, despite the sweetness, it started fresh, and I enjoyed that citrus part before the peach, flowers, and vanilla mixed in. I think it’s the one where the sweetness stands out the most among the Ciel line, along with Magic. It goes perfectly with cool weather, afternoon, or night.

  • debcalvella

I love notes of this style, but this one is unbearable: an exaggerated, synthetic sweetness that I can’t stand.

  • Very sweet, I was gifted it in my teens, and honestly, it didn’t work for me. At first, it smells fruity and citrusy, then a synthetic vanilla and soft sandalwood come out, which on my skin turns into tonka bean and shampoo. I don’t like it, neither for the sweetness nor for the artificiality; I prefer to feel ‘better dressed,’ and this gives me the opposite. It lacks quality, although my friend adores it. On my skin, it lasts 6 hours with moderate sillage, good performance for the price.

  • Florenciabrisa

Pity they reformulated it (this is September 2023). Before, it was a sweet bomb identical to the pink Fantasy by Britney, with great sillage and a desire to eat it. Now it barely smells, like they removed key notes, and it feels different and even ugly. If you’re looking for something similar, the perfume ‘F’ by Florencia Peña is identical to what this Ciel used to be.

  • The one that drove me crazy during my puberty years, and now I see why. Rich, dessert-like vanilla, but without going overboard or being boring. Ideal for going out at night, and look, it’s super cheap.

  • karugervazoni

Supposedly it’s a dupe for Fantasy. I liked the original (only the old batch from the 2000s), but this Ciel doesn’t like it at all. It’s extremely sweet, and smelling it makes me scrunch my nose. It smells like a dry, powdery sweet. I don’t recommend buying it blind because it might end up being overwhelming.

  • Alfonsinagi

The old version was my teenage perfume; the new one feels sweeter but is truly exquisite. Maybe it tires your nose out after a while, but it’s still wonderful. The longevity, at least on my skin, is 6 to 8 hours, which is super good considering how affordable it is.

  • I bought it again a few days after not hearing it for two or three years, and I fell in love all over again. On my skin, it’s a creamy, authentic vanilla, nothing synthetic. It doesn’t seem cloying or heavy; I’m a huge fan of sweet scents, and for me, it’s a 10 for price and quality. I love pairing it, and it tastes amazing at night with 212 Sexy. It works for any season or occasion. Maybe I’ll wear it more in winter, but I’ll use it a lot in summer too. This year I was looking for something like this and didn’t consider more expensive alternatives that had captivated me years ago. I’ll end this love letter to Ciel Nuit: give Ciel a chance, it’s been killing it for a long time!

  • Hey, I smelled something different from what the description says: it smells like plastic or rubber mixed with something sweet and earthy, like powdery vetiver and dried fruit. It’s weird. Then a sharp synthetic note appears, almost metallic, which I couldn’t stand.

  • I bought it last week during a perfume and deodorant promo at Pigmento. Upon spraying, I realized it wasn’t the same as before. Something weird happened and it wasn’t pleasant. It smells like metal. I don’t know if there was a quality control issue, but that’s not normal.

  • Leslie Lisak

At first, I smelled green plant notes with a spice. I checked the notes and there was nothing matching. Ten minutes later, when I smelled it again, it had improved, feeling more like the Fantasy vibe, but as if it had been sprayed on plastic and then smelled.

  • I discovered it in 2024 and was pleasantly surprised. I own Britney’s Fantasy; at first, I was disappointed, but over time I grew to like it, and it’s one of my favorites for fall/winter. I just bought Ciel Nuit in 50ml and I love it—a softer version of Fantasy but very similar at an incredible price in Argentina. 2025 Edit: It’s a great budget alternative to Fantasy, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Researching Argentine perfumes, I tried all the Cannon ones; they don’t last long but are pleasant. Ciel Nuit, however, I really liked. Don’t buy blindly, but do try it—it’s original, lasts a long time, and both women and men praise it. I asked my boyfriend to choose between a French perfume and Ciel Nuit without telling him which was which. He absolutely loved Ciel Nuit and thought it was the imported one; he was wrong, but he admitted it’s excellent. Don’t miss this opportunity, plus it’s cheap.

  • Super recommended budget fragrance. It smells like orange on me (probably the peach and lime). It’s very sweet and lasts several hours. I own the Magic too, but this is my favorite among the Ciel line.

  • Perfume_addict

In my opinion, it’s one of the best Ciel flankers. Unlike the others, it’s very sweet and has an incredible trail. Smells like vanilla with a hint of fruit at the start, though it initially smells plasticky before fading. They say it was reformulated and isn’t the same as the Fantasy anymore, which is likely. If you’re looking for a Fantasy dupe, try it, but the dry-down is different. Great value for money and recommended if you want something sweet and cheap.

  • Eugenia Argentina

It’s sweet, modern, persistent, and has good projection. I liked it, but now that I’m trying other scents, even though it’s nice, it gets a bit tiring on me.

  • gothicnightmare

Smells very similar to the Fantasy opening. Don’t expect cupcake or chocolate because there isn’t any, but the start is very alike. The Ciel line is amazing for the price-to-quality ratio; they work great as dupes.

  • Manu_speranza

My first Ciel; I never liked it but gave it a chance. Smells super sweet and synthetic, but it lasts long and is potent. For the price, it’s a good daily option—a vanilla with an almond note that’s more enjoyable in winter.
