The legendary Bofifa, one of the greatest perfume critics ever, a rebellious intellectual and a raffish man of exquisite taste, now has his own cult following. He added it to a YouTube top 10, and I was hooked. Once again, I have no regrets for following his lead. This is a classic for anyone missing their childhood. A fantastic, classic, and simple fougère—huge, charming, fresh, and retro. Thanks, Bofifa; we miss you just as much as we miss our childhood.
A colleague owns it, and I tried it; it’s a rare and interesting fusion from the 80s and 90s, blending Drakkar, Aramis for Men, and touches of Davidoff Zino. It’s worth buying if you can still find it, as it has better projection and longevity than most modern perfumes.

Caesars Man can’t deny the decade it came from; it has plenty of eighties characteristics. It’s potent, green-herbal, floral, and very dry woody. It’s quite pleasant and has great longevity; with two or three sprays it lasts 10 hours or more, plus it has above-average projection. It doesn’t feel modern, but if you like eighties aromatic ferns, it’s an excellent choice. Fragrantica says it’s very similar to Drakkar Noir, and it’s true, but it has a plus: it’s available at a very low price, around $25, compared to the current Drakkar which I’ve seen for nearly $90. Ideal for the office, family outings, and any time of year.
