I met this perfume on a trip to Laredo, TX, at an Indian shop, but here they say it’s from 2000 and it’s much older, from the late 80s, when I bought it. It was similar to Drakkar Noir. It’s a very economical perfume or lotion, $8 when I bought it, and now it doesn’t exceed $12 if you can find it. I still have a bottle I use occasionally. For me, the notes are lavender and musk.
I picked this up on a trip to Laredo, TX, at a Native American store. They claim it’s from 2000, but it’s actually way older—late 80s, when I bought it. It reminds me of Drakkar Noir. It’s a super cheap perfume or lotion; I paid $8, and now it’s no more than $12. I still have a bottle I use occasionally. To me, it smells like lavender and musk.
Sensual, deep, dense, and mysterious fragrance. For the seductive man. Smells great; don’t be fooled by the price: it’s cheap but high quality. Follows the trail of Chanel’s Antaeus and Van Cleef. Projection and longevity are modest; it performs well for four hours if you apply generously. For men over 25, better at night and with women. It has exclusive notes like ambergris; don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a great masculine aroma.
An epic trip back to the 80s! As the title says, this is a 1984 fougère that transports me to my 90s childhood, where my parents’ scents were 100% masculine. Taxi is economical and simple, yet very sexy and mysterious, made for classic gentlemen. It’s one of the few where, even without being an expert, you can recognize its notes: upon spraying, a hit of ambergris and lavender with musk and nutmeg giving a powdery sensation; as it dries, the bergamot and sweet, slightly boozy anise linger until the end. Its best moment is in the cold and at night, in winter or spring, ideal for hanging out with friends or on dates with mature people 27 and up. Longevity is about 5 hours, with low to moderate projection for 1 to 1.5 hours. If you like Drakkar Noir, this is a very similar option with a great price, though it’s hard to find. If you can get your hands on it, buy it: it’s a pleasure to return to the past. Final rating: Price 10/10, Versatility 8/10, Longevity 7/10, Projection 6/10.
A trip to the 80s! As the title says, this scent takes you back; it was 1984 when fougères reigned. I was born in the 90s, so this is my childhood, where my parents and older brothers used 100% masculine scents. Taxi is economical and simple, but very sexy and mysterious, just for old-school gentlemen. It’s one of the few where you recognize the notes without being an expert: an initial hit of ambergris and lavender with musk and nutmeg giving a powdery sensation. As it dries, the bergamot and that sweet, almost alcoholic anise linger until the end. Best used in cold weather and at night, in winter or spring, ideal for hanging out with friends or dates with mature people (27+). Lasts about 5 hours, with low to moderate projection for the first hour. If you like Drakkar Noir, this is a great option, good price and high quality, though hard to find. If you get it, buy it; it’s a pleasure to go back. Price: 10/10, Versatility: 8/10, Longevity: 7/10, Projection: 6/10.
I’m obsessed. It’s a creamy, salty, mentholated ambergris with hints of anise and lavender, reminiscent of mint paste… It smells clean and sweet, women go crazy for it, and so do I. Brutal quality for the price. When I run out, I’ll restock until I die.
I love it! Smells like creamy, salty, mentholated ambergris, with a touch of anise and lavender that reminds me of mint toothpaste… but clean and sweet. Women love it, and I do too. Brutal quality for the price. When I run out, I’ll restock until I die.
Very elegant, serious, and rich-smelling; it cost me $10 in Venezuela. It lasted several days on my clothes, scents up to a meter and a half, then fades a bit depending on pH. My son uses it and smells great, better than I imagined; he went out and came back after 6 or 7 hours and still smelled good. pH interferes a lot. So no need for a keen eye or excessive investment. It’s classic, with a mysterious 80s bottle. 100% recommended.
Pleasant 80s perfume; Taxi by Cofinluxe is manly, fresh, and smells clean, wearable by young and old in any season. On my skin, I need to apply generously to enjoy its aroma; it’s a perfect combination of few notes that generate freshness, with the presence of Ambergris, Lavender, Bergamot, and Musk, the latter being what I perceive most. Greetings.
An 80s fragrance, Taxi by Cofinluxe is a fresh, clean man’s scent suitable for young and old all year round. On my skin, you have to apply it generously to enjoy its aroma; a perfect blend of few refreshing notes, featuring Ambergris, Lavender, Bergamot, and the Musk I notice the most. Cheers!
Super classic and economical fragrance, within reach even for kids. It was very popular among people who didn’t spend money on perfumes like they do now, depending on the Latin American country. There were economic crises in the 80s and 90s, and it was common to see disc jockeys, bus drivers, or taxi drivers using it. It was so popular you’d see it in pharmacies, street vendors, or even people selling clothes on credit offering it when collecting payment.
I used this delight to go to school in ’88 or ’89 when it flooded the neighborhood. Its trail was huge and lasted until the next day, even lingering on clothes. Now I don’t know what they did to it; it doesn’t last almost anything, just a few hours, and the trail is moderate. It’s a fragrance for all time; now that I’m older I use it, but it’s not the same: it smells the same but the performance is mediocre. It serves to remember childhood. Recommended for daily wear and very versatile.
Delicious fragrance and super popular in the 80s, in the style of Drakkar Noir or Fahrenheit, but Taxi was spicier, sweeter, mentholated, and affordable without being low quality. Elegant and manly, perfect for cold weather or night; its trail in the early versions was brutal. Today the performance is average, but I keep buying it because it’s timeless. With all the sweet and Arabic perfumes trending now, sometimes it smells like one of those and people don’t recognize it.
