I don’t like it; the scent seems too strong to me. Also, it lasts a long time on my skin and only goes away after a shower.
A fairly linear fragrance; it never changes. Citrus and spicy. It might overwhelm some people, but most won’t notice it. It doesn’t go unnoticed, but it doesn’t make you stand out either. Overall, it’s not bad (in fact, it’s quite good for the price; I just bought a 100ml bottle for about $15). I’d buy it again only as a gift out of obligation (like an exchange) because it won’t make you look bad and it’s affordable, or for a teenager exploring their taste. One thing to note: although the bottle is fun, it spills relatively easily. Maybe it’s just my case, but you need to be careful if you carry it in a backpack or briefcase (like I do for work). I recommend it overall.
Honestly, my nose picked up a very masculine scent, and it lingered strongly on my skin. I wouldn’t buy it again.
To be honest, it’s a very rich fragrance, though it’s not the one that drowns out everyone at a party. It’s super fresh and intense, citrusy with a slight floral touch at the start, gradually developing some sweetness without losing those lavender notes, a bit of geranium and cardamom. Cold is good, and for its price, it’s better. I use it for hot, informal days; it’s very youthful, more masculine than feminine. It has another plus: it lasts quite a while and has a good trail. I recommend it, though not for elegant events, but for moderate compliments with good projection.
Just arrived. Citrus and spicy opening, very well blended. Smells fresh and noticeable but not overpowering. I see it for people aged 18 to 30. Informal, perfect for afternoon/evening. Excellent value for money.
I have to say the longevity is very good. I could still smell it on my clothes up close 24 hours later.
I don’t understand the negative comments about this perfume. It has good longevity, a great price, and smells good. It’s for men, but women can wear it too. I don’t compare it to anything because nothing else is like it.
I used it when it first came out, almost 20 years ago, and back then it was a hit—I loved it and it lasted more than half a day, so I wore it to work. I bought it recently and I don’t know if it was reformulated or what happened, but it’s not the same as before…
Now that I’ve smelled it more, I have a clearer picture: it’s extremely pleasant, fresh, and sweet. Bergamot, cilantro, and musk stand out, closing with a watery floral touch. Longevity is moderate, but if you apply more, it performs perfectly (up to 8 hours). The trail is great, and the price is excellent. It works in any weather.
I’m here to say this fragrance is memorable, unique, and sublime. CK One doesn’t even come close; Cold has body and character, whereas it doesn’t. For a ridiculous price, the performance is fantastic. I believe it’s basically masculine. Longevity and projection are top-notch; on me, it lasts about 8 hours and fills the room. It’s timeless because it’s a one-of-a-kind scent. Rating: 10/10
I tried it looking for something fresh like Let’s Move, and it smells like the mid-90s: very fresh and versatile for daytime. Aquatic and citronella notes, nothing to impress, but to please; I’ve never received bad comments. It’s perfect for a daytime battle. Ideal age: 15 to 30 years old. What I notice most is bergamot, coriander, soft lavender, and musk. The trail is impressive for the first hour, then dries down to a floral and oceanic scent. Short longevity on my skin: about 4 to 6 hours.
Curious to try this Benetton Cold, I got a 10ml sample. They say it’s a CK One with more impact, but I was wrong. It smells like Puig Quorum, just toned down. It doesn’t hit like the slap of Quorum. If Quorum is 100, this Cold is 35. It’s fresher and lighter, but olfactorily they are similar 85% (strange, since they only share bergamot, caraway, and patchouli). Pleasant, but low yield: after two hours it’s skin scent, and by three and a half, it’s almost gone.
Classic but eternal jewels. I picked it up cheap without looking for it; it always caught my eye as a collectible. My friends used it in the 90s and 2000s. I love it, it brings me to life. It’s citrusy, aromatic, ozonic, floral, with a touch of soapy lavender: rich and clean. Although it uses classic chords, the blend is novel and very balanced. I love the opening, but I’m obsessed with it at two hours: the citrus adds spark to the flowers, all pushed by vetiver-patchouli and the musk that gives a sexy yet clean touch. Brutal for the price. It shouldn’t be missing from any collection.
Fresh and pleasant, doesn’t bother anyone. If it lasted longer, it would be a 10. It doesn’t smell like CK One as people say; it’s softer than Cold, wearable, and smells good, although without surprises.
I love it! Flawless quality and price.
A rich, noble, affordable fragrance in a fun bottle. I agree it’s not CK One; Cold smells more masculine, has its own path, and is fresher. Literally, applying it wraps you in a cloud of freshness, soapy water, and cleanliness. It took me years to buy it again; it sold a lot since the 2000s, and frankly, it still captivates me even though it’s clearly old school, which I love. It still lasts and projects for 6 hours. When I ride my bike or run in the afternoons, after work, the fragrance perks up like it’s saying: ‘I’ve got more to give’. The cost-performance ratio is excellent; in Mexico you can get it for under 200 pesos, very affordable even for collecting. I love it and will keep it until hopefully they don’t stop producing it.
Smells fresh like just out of the shower, totally synthetic. I didn’t like the opening, but it becomes more pleasant once it dries. The performance is poor: you need about 20 sprays for people to notice it. I see it as good for staying home, running, or going to the gym. Nothing outstanding, which justifies the $8 I paid for it here in Mexico. If you don’t know it, you’re missing out. PERSONAL OPINION AND EXPERIENCE.
I don’t like that lavender note; it reminds me of bathroom cleaner. The fragrance smells vintage, which it is, but others disguise it better. On the plus side, it lasts longer than you’d expect.
It doesn’t smell like CK One; it has a lot of musk that makes it feel soapy, fresh, and slightly sweet. It’s not overpowering, ideal for outdoor mornings. In my case, it wore me out: I bought it online and 30% spilled, soaking the box and filling the room. It’s potent to the point of being tiring, but for the price, it’s an excellent option. On my nose, it doesn’t smell old; it’s far from the sugary fragrances in fashion right now.
Benetton Cold for Him, just acquired it almost blind. The price and description caught my eye as an alternative to Blue Men Colors from the same house. Upon smelling the box, I was surprised by the aroma emanating from it; long and well-packed, austere without luxuries. After applying two or three sprays, with the cap evoking a cold water faucet, it immediately transports me to the aromas of Armani by Giorgio Armani from the 90s. Those who know it will understand the olfactory experience. It seems they acquired the license or formula for this variant. I’m in the middle of a hot summer with days reaching 30 to 40 degrees in the US-Mexico border area. I will describe my daytime and nighttime experience until the end of summer.
Citrusy and fresh scent that adapts well to the skin, a true unisex classic. In my respectful opinion, it’s not CK One; it has more sillage and longevity, and smells more masculine, though many girls love it. Benetton Cold works all year round: a pleasant blend of citrus, aldehydes, and lavender. The trail is moderate, non-invasive, and very comfortable in the heat. Sometimes people in public ask for the name to buy it. I think some focus more on the brand than the scent, which is just a matter of taste. It’s super versatile, suits any skin type and age, doesn’t stain clothes, and is a fresh lotion that lasts just enough for a morning or afternoon. Light, aromatic, and perfect for any style.
I’ll just say it’s a perfume that will accompany me for the rest of my life. It’s the scent of my youth, citrusy, fresh, and floral. It has amazing longevity. If you spray more than 7 times at once, it could be dangerous. It’s super strong at the start, I think many won’t like it, but definitely the dry down is beautiful. If you’re between 25 and 35, this is the perfume that could have gotten your girl (in my case, it did). Honestly, I don’t feel it’s that unisex; I understand it’s because of the floral sensation, but I don’t see it on a woman. But what can I say, I don’t think anyone will regret owning it.
Who said quality is measured by price? If designer scents are the bestsellers, with luck and patience, you can find something interesting in the cheap ones. Benetton Cold is a new vintage classic with a complex profile that doesn’t remind me of anything. It smells like the 90s, it’s not simple, with acidic bergamot and green mandarins that prelude perceptible aldehydes that ruffle the hairs on the nose of the less experienced. It’s useless to escape; it doesn’t disappear quickly, remaining quite noticeable for hours. Surprisingly, the sillage and persistence (in this 2000 version) are very high. Also the balance: when it embraces the floral notes, it softens without falling into a unisex tone. Pleasant are the vetiver and patchouli notes that intertwine with a musk, offering an elegant base with masculine nuances. A little-known perfume, perfect for remembering atmospheres for those without fear or prejudice, despite the low price and accessible to anyone.
There’s a practice among watch collectors to buy one from their birth year; I wanted to do the same with perfume, so Benetton Cold came home. I expected something boring and flat, like CK One as people say, but they don’t share many similarities. Cold starts strong, filling a room in the first few minutes. Then it calms down to reveal a citrusy, spicy scent from the aldehydes, green/woody with oakmoss and ozonic notes. I love aldehydes and enjoy its opening. But if you don’t like them, they fade after a few minutes and another set takes the lead. After some time, goodbye spicy opening and hello soapy, floral heart. Lavender gains strength with musk and vetiver, creating a clean, woody, and humid aura that pairs well with the lingering citrus. It always maintains a retro skeleton of aldehydes, bergamot, and lavender/musk. Longevity is strange: sometimes 4-5 hours, other times almost 8. Projection is about 2 hours, with a potent trail for half an hour, then moderate. Versatile for weather, ideal for everyone except very cold days. Totally daytime. Occasion-wise, it’s best for casual and work; not excessively formal, elegant, romantic, or seductive. Unisex? Yes, slightly more masculine but nothing outrageous. Many women wear it, just as many men will wear Benetton Hot. If you want more content, check out my YouTube channel: Perfúmate Con JL.
Benetton Cold is an old-school fragrance; my dad used to wear it and I loved it, so I promised to buy it and finally found it. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me like it did for my dad, maybe due to the batch, reformulation, or my pH. It projects very little: about 30 minutes of good projection, then it becomes intimate. It’s a rich, very lavender and citrusy aroma. On the plus side, the presentation is nice and fun, ideal for showing off a collection. With 5 or 6 sprays, I get the projection and trail. Trail: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Price: 9/10. I got it for 350 plus shipping, though you can find it for as low as 200 Mexican pesos. Longevity: 7/10. Age: I see it as unisex, but it smells like it’s for someone 30 or older, believe me, this isn’t youthful at all.
Bought it 3 years ago because I was gifted One Sumer Blue and wanted to try all the Benetton scents. Honestly, it didn’t feel right for young people; it’s more suited for folks over 30. I sprayed it twice and flooded the room; never got compliments—it seemed overwhelming and intolerable to others. I felt the same until I gave it to my older brother, who loved it and asked me to buy more. Longevity was about 8 hours; I wanted it to fade, but it stayed strong. It feels like CK One, youthful and fresh, but honestly, I don’t detect anything fresh or youthful in it, maybe because my definition of youthful involves citrus, aquatic notes, and a bit of floral.
At first, it seemed vintage, but over time I’ve really come to like it. It has that cologne touch—fresh and clean. In my collection, I have Acqua Essenziale Colonia by Salvatore Ferragamo, and they’re similar; they don’t smell exactly the same but follow the same line. Both are very pleasant, though Cold is half the price of Ferragamo. It projects and lasts well for a fresh scent. People say it’s similar to CK One, but in my experience, they’re different, though from the same family. I recommend buying it blind; you’ll rarely dislike it, and for the price, it’s worth having and using occasionally.
Probably the first batch was exquisite in longevity and projection, but my batch is from 2009 and the longevity is super low.
Starts off alcoholic and citrusy but doesn’t last long; then it turns green, floral, and maybe mentholated. It’s intense, though it becomes more moderate once it dries down. Not sweet, it has a pleasant bitterness. It’s a fresh masculine scent (not purely citrus), going beyond the innocent bottle image. In line with its era, it’s not a trendy little sweetie. Versatile for sunny, casual days. Worth it for the ridiculous price (100ml), made in Italy. The sprays don’t sting, and the bottle won’t hurt your wallet. Price-to-quality ratio is okay.
Bought it in 2023 without hesitation thanks to the price and reviews. It brings back teenage memories, maybe a classmate used it. It’s simple compared to modern scents but very pleasant and versatile. At first, it smells like alcohol, but after 15 minutes, it transforms into something floral and citrusy with those famous aldehydes. The bottle is practical for carrying it everywhere without thinking too much about the occasion, though not for super formal events. Best enjoyed up close, in your personal bubble. Bonus points for the affordable price; hard to regret if you’re not too picky about notes.
It’s a fresh and pleasant scent, but a bit cloying. It has a synthetic touch, but it’s acceptable. It’s unisex, though it leans more feminine. With it, you can smell good for a low price.
It’s soft and weak; even after 15 sprays, I can’t smell it. I don’t know how to describe it. It’s a weird and complex perfume! In Venezuela, it costs $12.
It doesn’t resemble CK ONE. I’m writing this on 09/01/23: if it has an air of Issey Miyake when it dries, then yes.
It gives the exact feeling of an after-shave right after leaving your usual barbershop. There’s nothing else to add to this review.
It’s a fragrance designed for young people: simple, fresh, and ultra-cheap. The performance is average; it doesn’t project or leave a trail, but on my skin, it lasts about 5 to 6 hours. The scent is complex at first—I really had to get used to that synthetic aldehyde. However, once it dries down, it’s pleasant: a fresh, classic citrus, in the school that left Aqua di Giò. Nothing spectacular or special, but perfect for the everyday person who just wants to smell fresh.
It has excellent projection, and it’s my girlfriend’s favorite. It’s the most versatile and addictive fragrance I own; I recommend it 100%.
It was my first blind buy because of the reviews and because it was the cheapest in the Benetton line, and it was a total mistake. It smells outdated, reminding me of the hair salons from my childhood in the 90s and cheap synthetics, and that scent sticks to my skin until I shower. In fact, it gave me a headache, something that has never happened to me with a perfume. Please test it on your skin and feel its evolution before buying. I do not recommend it.
I picked this up cheap at around 258 pesos on Amazon. The opening is very fresh and aldehydic. It lasts about 10 minutes before moving to the heart, which dominates: something fresh but more classic, like you can smell cumin or thyme (probably due to caraway), serving as a bridge to the floral notes. At the end, I noticed something earthy and clean, but very skin-scented. It projects for 1.5 to 2 hours at about 25 cm and lingers on the skin for around 8 hours. For the price, it’s great.
It’s a citrus fragrance with a lot of character, perfect for hot and sunny days above 25 degrees. While it has that old-school vibe, it actually suits people under 30 well. The performance is decent for the price; in heat, it can project for about six hours, though the first two are more noticeable. For what it costs, it’s worth it.
Benetton Cold is an affordable and practical choice if you’re looking for something super simple, fresh, and quick. It’s great for everyday wear or right after a shower, but don’t expect depth or longevity. Basically, it’s a quick burst of freshness with no real presence.
