  A creation by Maurice Roucel for Castelbajac, a French brand with a very distinct artistic style in its designs and prints, which is reflected in the bottle. It’s a clean fragrance that opens with an abrasive musk, which can be a love-it-or-hate-it note (I absolutely love this kind of musk; it reminds me of laundry detergent). Then comes the scent of fresh, creamy almond with vanilla, enhanced by heliotrope, which gives that feeling of sweet, powdered almonds. Although it claims to feature orange blossom, tonka bean, and valley lily, they are not prominent notes. As it dries down, it leaves a talc-like, almond-scented trail with an exquisite sweet touch. Longevity is 6-7 hours on skin, with moderate-to-low sillage and projection as time passes. It’s perfect for work, meetings in enclosed spaces, and everyday wear; I feel it’s timeless and makes you smell great and feel beautiful. Lately, I’ve been loving it; it’s my go-to when I don’t know what to wear and always puts me in a good mood, creating that ‘Beautiful Day’ feeling 😊
