  They sent me a sample of a perfume I had already purchased. I’d seen the brand but knew nothing about this fragrance. If you want to know what it smells like, it’s as if an animal had pooped in a bakery right after baking chocolate cookies. But what dominates is the poop. It literally smells like shit.

  I’m not a fan of gourmands, but this is beastly: opens with black chocolate cookie and quickly reveals a dirty animal side. I don’t detect the raspberry; the vanilla is very subtle, in the background and not standing out. It reminds me of Kalaj’s Delizia Oscura at first, but then it takes another direction, becoming much more animalistic. For me, it’s a 10. Buy blind, it’s the most different thing I’ve smelled lately.

  I was looking for something similar, not identical, to Bianco Latte by Giardini di Toscana, guided by a niche store associate. They have nothing in common, even though both are gourmands. This smells like wild animal mixed with an old, well-burnt cookie. It’s a powerful scent with strong presence, but I wouldn’t call it sweet at all. I think it shines more on cold nights for those who don’t mind being noticed. I’d say it’s more masculine than unisex, though that’s very subjective. In the end, I passed on it.
