Regalien introduces Aurora: Halfeti Dark, a new unisex fragrance launching in 2026. It was composed by Dominique Ropion, the perfumer behind some of modern niche perfumery’s most distinctive creations.
The opening pairs pink pepper, hibiscus, and lily of the valley with a surprisingly radiant touch. Before long, that light gives way to a darker, more complex floral heart built around black rose.
The top notes are a study in contrasts: pink pepper adds a brisk, slightly spicy shimmer, hibiscus brings a hint of tartness, and lily of the valley softens the blend with its dewy floral purity. It’s a fresh, almost translucent start.
At the center, black rose takes command. Cypriol introduces a woody, somewhat smoky depth, while ambrette musk wraps everything in a warm, velvety embrace. The heart feels dense, elegant, and quietly dramatic.
The base rests on oakmoss, amber, Tahitian vanilla, and Indonesian patchouli leaf. Those ingredients create a lasting trail that is earthy, balsamic, and subtly sweet, with just enough amber glow to keep it inviting.
Across the composition, Ropion balances floral, musky, earthy, woody, vanilla, and softly spiced accords. The push-and-pull between rose and patchouli gives the fragrance an addictive tension, especially as it dries down.
