  • It’s a fresh, soft cologne with a unisex personality and very wearable. Honestly, it’s nothing special. It presents a fresh orange aroma with a certain green touch of leaves and orange blossoms, at least on my skin. The tonka adds a certain sweetness, but it’s very subtle. It’s daytime, perfect for informal, sporty, or casual wear. The good thing is that it generates well-being for lovers of citrus scents and those who prefer fresh-character perfumes. Among the recent Aqua Allegoria, it’s the most wearable, a true all-rounder. At least in my personal opinion.

The Guerlain Aqua Allegoria are, for me, the best choices for summer. Fresh and with an unexpected touch. This delicious blood orange with a hint of mint is super fresh and cheerful. Absolutely recommended.

  • It does resemble Orange Sanguine and also shares a common touch with other Aqua Allegoria. I tested it alongside another one, so I can’t give very precise impressions, but it didn’t seem to perform poorly considering the type of perfume it is. It could be a good option to find it at a good price.

  • I’m new to perfumes, but this taught me a lesson: forget about wearing them when you’re feeling down or pregnant. I tried it a while ago, liked it, and bought it for summer. I wore it a few times during my first trimester when I was nauseous and vomiting, and it stuck with me. Now, when I try it again, my brain instantly takes me back to the smell of vomit in the toilet. What a disaster.

  • I’m a total beginner in the world of perfumes, but this product will always remind me of this lesson: forget about wearing perfume when you’re sick or pregnant. Let me tell you: I tried this fragrance a while ago, liked it, and decided to buy it for the next summer, so I did. Unfortunately, I used it a few times during the first trimester of my pregnancy, accompanied by dizziness and vomiting. It’s stuck in my memory so strongly that when I tried to use it months later, my brain transported me straight to the memory of my nose in the toilet. What a disaster.

In my perception, it has a very fragrant citrus opening and a very pleasant orange; however, on my skin, as it dries down, an absolutely non-sweet orange emerges, but with a bitter nuance. I sense some green accord somewhere, and at a certain point, the bitter aroma reminds me of Cedrat Envirant by Atelier Cologne, but I perceive Orange Soleil as philosophically more bitter on my skin. I’m a bit disappointed not to appreciate the sweetness that tonka bean usually provides. Personally, I’ve opted to layer it with other fragrances to neutralize that bitter edge.

This Aqua Allegoria injects happiness and refreshes the senses; it’s so lively. Don’t look for an extremely sweet orange, you won’t find it; it’s an orange with bitter and astringent nuances, but very REALISTIC, in caps, and its quality is indisputable. When you first spray it, you enjoy the juice of that freshly squeezed orange, but it doesn’t stop there: you notice the green touches of petit grain and the mint adds cooler strokes; you also feel the zest juice. As it evolves, it becomes a powdered fruit accented by musk and barely sweetened by tonka bean. It’s a fragrance with few notes but many nuances. I find it charming, it’s perfectly in the middle, a true unisex scent. It lasts about five hours; the trail is moderate for the first hour and then fades to skin-level, but for me, it’s worth it and I enjoy it a lot.

  • I hate writing this to Guerlain, but I wouldn’t buy it again for fun. It smells nice, sure, but it lasts no more than twenty minutes. Other reviews claim it lasts five hours, and I highly doubt that; they might just be sniffing their skin looking for a trace that’s almost nonexistent. At first, it smells like orange juice, then after five minutes it turns into Tang, and by twenty minutes, at best, it smells like nothing. If you have the budget to use it liberally as a body spray in the summer, go ahead, but there are much cheaper options that do the same thing.
