Descripción

Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Rossa is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2022, this composition was created by perfumer Delphine Jelk. The top notes of peach, blackcurrant, pink pepper, and almond deliver a vibrant first impression. The heart reveals the elegance of Bulgarian rose and Damask rose, while the base settles on a warm blend of benzoin, patchouli, and sandalwood.

  • Super feminine, soft, and delicate aroma—I’d say powdery. It’s very subtle yet evident, with roses that are not sharp or pretentious, simply smelling of rose. I absolutely love it, and the scent doesn’t go unnoticed. Definitely a great success.

  • I like the Aqua Allegoria line, but their terrible performance destroys it. I understand why people seek them out for not being invasive, but with this one, they overdid it. They added the ‘Forte’ clarification, and it sounds almost sarcastic; it’s the most innocent AA I’ve ever tried. I don’t detect the almond, just a sparkling pink pepper opening. It smells nice, not unpleasant, but it really only lasted 30 minutes for me. I already gave it away because I wasn’t even excited to use it, and it’s a waste to leave it sitting there. Never buy blind; always test on skin because sometimes chemistry plays a bad trick on you.

  • A deeper Rosa Rossa. Compared to the original, it has much more depth. Although I tested it dry, it seems like it would last longer on skin. I like it, but it’s quite different. The base notes are more present, especially the patchouli. It’s a subtly powdery and woody rose, wrapped in a soft powderiness that is nothing invasive, with a faint woody body. If I have to choose between the original or the Forte, I’d go with this one because it seems to have better longevity. Although the original is fresher and spicier, I like how the base notes of the Forte take it out of its linear path and give it a twist away from being just a rose-scented aroma.

A very pleasant rose, ideal for hot days. I feel like a facial cream—light to wear but with a certain sensual touch. I really like it.

  • Not many surprises: roses, many well-defined and well-executed roses. On the opening, you can detect a sweet, juicy peach, and the pepper appears briefly, but nothing takes away from the flower’s prominence. It’s an extremely feminine, classic, and very spring-like perfume. It reminds me a lot of Rose by Oscar de la Renta. The sillage and longevity are soft to moderate. It feels very comfortable.

I usually avoid rose-focused perfumes because they tend to be overwhelming and end up smelling like just flowers, but this is the exception. I loved it from the first moment. I saw it on the shelf next to Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Palissandro and didn’t even pick it up because of the name, but I decided to try it. The moment I applied it to my wrist, it reminded me of Victorio & Lucchino’s Enchanting due to that leading rose note. It has a wide sillage, not oppressive—like a fresh breeze with natural roses. Sometimes, even if you don’t notice it, it’s there when you turn around, accompanying you without being overwhelming, which is a positive thing. I gave it five tries before feeling I truly needed it, and now it’s in my collection for spring. Totally unisex.
