  Reminds me of Ambre Fetiche, especially the new version, though I still think a vintage batch I tried was superior. It left me crazy and flabbergasted in a good way; maybe the perfume that impacted me the most. Considering it’s from a special collection and costs a fortune (though sometimes discounted) to mimic the current one, it feels like another joke from the pretentious luxury industry and its posturing, not the product itself. But speaking of the scent, it’s good. It’s linear, dominated by a resinous amber with little vanilla and a touch of patchouli that I love, even though I’m not a fan. People complain the old version smelled burnt, but I, being sensitive to that, noticed nothing here. Although they say it’s softer, I’ve worn it for 9 hours with few applications and it still smelled on me in bed afterward, so it lasts a ton, haha.

  What a beast of an animalic scent! It’s a mature vanilla with that vintage vibe of the classics, where amber rules and pink pepper gives you little tickles on the nose. Intense and wild, yet without losing any elegance. I don’t usually like vanillas, but I’m so glad to have this decant.
