I ditched the Amber Oud Gold normal for being too fruity and childish, so I tried the Extreme based on reviews saying it’s more mature with the same quality. It was a hit. It only shares the tip of the olfactory pyramid with the original. This one is an extract in its full glory: strong, high-quality, and leaves the skin glowing, outperforming the first. It opens with intense fruits and green notes to avoid the ‘candy bag’ effect. The drydown is top-tier, musky, and ambered. On my skin, it lasts from morning until 9 PM. The packaging and mechanics confirm Al Haramain’s undisputed position in the Arab market. Ideal for leisure and night outs, perfect for the 30-40 crowd without being loud. An alternative to Polo Red Intense. Blind buy: yes.

The best dupe for Erba Pura, unlike Ana Abiyedh which made me hate the DNA. The opening is potent with the Amber Oud Gold base but with more masculinity. Medium projection (3 hours) but good longevity (8 hours). After 3 hours, delicious amber and vanilla notes hug the skin; personally, I don’t smell as much wood as the descriptions say. Unbeatable value. Versatile, but shines more at night; during the day, be careful with sprays to avoid bothering others. Afnan doesn’t disappoint on presentation, box, and bottle, which look more expensive. This will be my signature as long as the 60ml bottle lasts.

Sweet, fruity, and spicy scent: a gourmand opening with soft pineapple and florals, a warm amber heart, and a wood-accented base. Smells ‘expensive,’ delicious on its own, and leaves a long trail. Lasts more than 12 hours on skin (even after showering) and about 24 on clothes, very sparkling. Watch out! Use it in cool weather; in heat it can become invasive, annoying, and suffocating.

It moves away from the ‘fruity shampoo’ vibe to become more robust, with a warm dry down that really stands out. Nuclear performance: lasts over 12 hours on skin and much longer on clothes, leaving a noticeable trail all day. If the Gold was a best-seller, this Extreme version takes it to the next level in quality, masculinity, and potency. The best option in the saga if you want character without losing the sweetness.
