  • Horrible. I came hype’d by videos in Spanish and English, but the scent smells like unbearable Indian spices from the opening. I don’t detect pineapple or anything fresh, nor is it a dupe of Black Phantom (Wafa by Lattafa is the one that is). In the dry down, it smells a bit like caramel, like creamy coffee or white chocolate vapers, but it’s hyper-synthetic and heavy, as if it were very cheap. Projection is almost non-existent; I imagine it just needs maceration, and longevity is 5 to 6 hours.

  • The opening smells like roasted hazelnut cream, probably due to the saffron. After half an hour, the notes become distinct and it turns more pleasant: a slightly sweet and creamy coffee with a subtle spice touch, a floral note I think is lily of the valley, and a pineapple very in the background. It’s not crazy, but it’s different and correct in longevity (about 7 hours in my case), though projection and sillage are contained.

  • Horrible. I was hyped up by the Spanish and English videos, but the scent smells like unmixable Indian spices right from the start. I don’t detect any pineapple or freshness, and it’s not a dupe of Black Phantom to my nose (Wafa by Lattafa is a different story). I don’t recommend it. In the dry down, it smells like creamy coffee or white chocolate vapers, but again: hyper-synthetic and heavy, as if it’s loaded with spices or very cheap. Projection is almost non-existent; I imagine it will last a couple of months and needs to mature. Longevity is 5-6 hours.

  • Caramel and coffee at the start, then pineapple. Projection is average. Ideal for autumn, winter, or spring, mostly for night. It needs maceration because the opening is very harsh and synthetic. Personally, the coffee exhausts my nose; it’s very metallic and synthetic, lacking a creamy note. I use it for layering with sweet perfumes to better appreciate its essence.

  • After a few weeks, my verdict is clear: don’t buy it blind. At first, it smells like roasted coffee to me, but my partner detects burnt caramel and finds it repulsive. Over time, it softens and becomes more pleasant, though opinions are sharply divided; it’s not for the masses. Projection and sillage are good for the price, but that specific scent makes taking a risk a mistake.

  • After weeks of use, I can say it’s absolutely not worth buying blind. At least for me, it smells like roasted coffee right after application, while my partner detects burnt caramel, which they hate. After an hour, it softens and becomes more pleasant. Some love it, others find it terrible; don’t expect a mass-appeal fragrance. It has good sillage and projection for the price, but due to that distinct scent, I don’t recommend buying it blind.

On the first day, I smelled very dark roasted coffee. By the second day, it reminded me of Bulgari’s Man in Black mixed with coffee and caramel; something in the extra notes makes it seem that way. It has excellent projection and longevity; if you wear it on clothes, it lasts over 20 hours. I don’t recommend buying it blind, even though the price is ridiculous—it can hurt your wallet if you regret it. I gave it more chances and find it good, though very night-time oriented (I prefer daytime scents). I give it a 7/10.

  • I didn’t like it on the first day, but after three days I’ve started to grow on it, I guess my nose just needed to adjust. That said, it’s still not a blind buy. The scent is slightly smoky, with incense notes that give it character.

Lattafa does it again. I admit the first impression was fatal; it smelled very strange and unpleasant, so much so that I capped it and threw it in a corner. Exactly seven days later, when I was about to post it to sell or swap in community groups, I gave it a spray and what a surprise: it was spectacular, a very rich scent. The freshly ground roasted coffee note felt very present, accompanied by caramel and vanilla; I immediately canceled all intention of getting rid of it. In short, it’s one of the scents I enjoy wearing the most; at night it’s a bomb, it makes you feel good, and people notice. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10 (almost 8 hours on skin), Sillage and Projection: 8/10. An excellent perfume with an incredible quality-to-price ratio.

Trail and projection: 8/10. An excellent perfume with an incredible quality-to-price ratio.

If you’re a coffee lover, this is madness for you. A blind buy that was spot on; a very uncommon and pleasant scent; the last time I smelled something like this was years ago at a doctor who used niche perfumes. Good longevity, good trail, good price. Thinking about making it my signature scent, as I’m a coffee lover…

Probably when you buy it and smell it for the first time, you’ll be disgusted. But that’s because this fragrance requires a minimum of one week to macerate. Then you can feel a sweet, smoky, spiced, and vanilla caramel. Also, I feel that the saffron and violet leaves don’t harmonize well here. It’s a fragrance that stands out from the ordinary, which makes it interesting. Notable longevity and projection. Good price (approx. $17). Recommend testing before buying, and if you buy blind, follow the suggestions.

  • The same thing happened to me as most: I hated it the first time I smelled it, but after a week, it turned into an addiction. To me, the opening smells metallic; the pineapple and saffron come out like sparks before you feel the caramel and coffee; in short, it smells like caramel popcorn accompanied by a vanilla coffee.

  • I’ve read that macerating is recommended to discover the secrets of this perfume. In my experience, I went to the perfumerie to test it on my skin. Honestly, it was the first time a fragrance completely repelled me. It smelled like prepared cola cao with powdered milk from a lab mixed with burnt coffee. What I can say for sure is that the longevity is eternal.

I have a bottle from July 2023, and unlike others who found it bad at first, I found it exquisite. It’s like milk with coffee and almond butter, accompanied by a very creamy and sweet vanilla pineapple dessert. It’s a scent I’ve never smelled before; nothing in my collection resembles it, and I loved it from the very first sniff. That said, anyone wearing this in summer is committing a crime against humanity; it’s only for night and cold climates or early spring. Update after a week: longevity is long, but you need to apply more than 6 sprays, while sillage lasts between 2 and 3 hours. I’ve received compliments from people under 24; someone said it smelled like coconut, but not a feminine coconut, rather a masculine sweet. A friend compared it to Victoria Secret’s Coconut Splash.

The only thing I can say is that the longevity is eternal.

I was tempted to buy it for a long time until I finally took the plunge. At first impression, it reminded me of burnt antifreeze (I know that’s weird, but that was my first olfactory memory), then to coffee candies sold here in Mexico in bulk in brown packaging. The perfume is different from what you find in coffee fragrances (I own Halloween Man X, Homem Reconecta, and Uomo Signature, and it doesn’t resemble any of them); it’s one of those that you like more the longer you wear it. I don’t suggest sticking with the opening, but rather enjoying the evolution. It smells good and is accessible, though I’ll have to wait for the temperature to drop because it’s too hot right now to give a proper verdict.

The scent at first impression reminded me of burnt antifreeze (I know it’s weird, but that was the first olfactory memory). Then it reminded me of coffee candies sold here in Mexico in bulk in brown packages (the yellow ones are butter). The perfume is different from what you find in coffee perfumes (I have Halloween Man X, Homem Reconecta, and Uomo Signature, and it doesn’t resemble any of them); it’s one of those perfumes that the longer you wear it, the more you like it (usually the opening enchants to sell, but here it’s the opposite). • I liked the opening, unlike what people are reading. It’s pineapple, but different from the classic Arab pineapple type like Club de Nuit. I was skeptical about combining pineapple and coffee, but it turned out to be a very peculiar roasted pineapple. It dries down into light coffee and toffee notes, but the dry down is slow and the roasted pineapple stays almost the whole life. I don’t see it as exclusive to autumn-winter; I think it’s a good perfume for a spring or summer night if the weather isn’t cooperating. Excellent for rainy spring-summer days. I bought it because it’s very coffee-heavy, and from that perspective, it is indeed a blind buy for coffee lovers. The bottle is gorgeous, well-designed, the atomizer is excellent, and the cap is solid. In short: ‘Pineapple with a heavy roast’.

I was skeptical about the pineapple and coffee blend, but it turned out to be a very peculiar toasted pineapple. It dries down into light coffee and toffee notes, though the dry-down is slow and the toasted pineapple lingers almost the entire time. I don’t see it as exclusive to fall/winter because of that fruity touch; I think it’s great for a spring night and even summer if the weather isn’t cooperating. Excellent for rainy spring/summer days. I bought it because it’s so coffee-forward, and yes, it’s a blind buy for coffee lovers. Special mention to the bottle: gorgeous, well-designed, the atomizer is excellent, and the cap is very solid.

Brutal value for money, smells like genuine quality and lasts a long time on the skin. Leaves a sweet, soft trail that I absolutely love, perfect for cold weather. It’s truly enjoyable and highly recommended. For me, it’s a 10/10.

Brutal value for money. High-quality scent that lasts a long time on the skin. Leaves a soft sweetness in the air that I absolutely loved; ideal for cold climates. Highly enjoyable and totally recommended. For me, 10/10.

  • This is my first review; I’ve been a collector for 28 years. This is the only perfume I had to throw away. It smells like vomit with caramel. I do not recommend it.

Lattafa is a brand I hadn’t bet on much, and I must admit I’m swallowing my words. This beauty is a fine replica, at least for me, as it has a tremendous, huge resemblance to Killian’s Black Phantom. Exquisite, powdery, very seductive, and above all powerful in sillage, aroma, strength, and longevity. It has fascinated me, I want it.

  • I bought it 2 months ago and the first time I was hugely surprised. The top notes smelled too strong, between leather and burnt plastic or gasoline, and that smell lasted too long. After several hours, the scent became more pleasant, where you could clearly perceive the caramel and vanilla, creamy notes. I let it macerate for 1 month and it helped a lot (honestly I didn’t think it would make much difference, since other perfumes from the same house seemed good from the start). That leather/plastic smell is gone now; it smells like leather (quite masculine and seductive) with a citrus touch (I guess pineapple) and something smoky. I don’t know what the violet leaves smell like, but after hours you can feel the coffee mixed with caramel and vanilla. The coffee note isn’t as pronounced as I expected; I thought it would be like Halloween Man X, but it’s not. Some days the heart notes smell like caramel and vanilla, others like coconut. Longevity and projection are quite good (in a small room people commented everything smelled good, and it turned out to be this perfume applied 4 hours ago). I recommend it if you like sweet and lactonic fragrances (without losing their masculine character), and I would buy it again, but you need to have patience with that strong and weird opening that disappears after about a month.

  • I LOVE IT, what a WARM and SPECIAL scent. Since the day I tried it, I found it particular and distinctive. That opening with SAFFRON and that BUTTER tone in the base with the SWEETNESS of that COFFEE☕make it unique. From my nose, it reminds me of when you go to the MOVIES and are in the POP-CORN line🍿, that mix of SWEETS, that’s what this exquisite PERFUME smells like, and it’s the best definition. Longevity is very good, but I feel it causes certain OLFACTORY FATIGUE after 2 hours. 💯% recommended, a 9/10. 👃🏼🍿☕🪻🧈🤎

  • Alisonarmando31

Yes. The opening is leather with car oil, burnt plastic, and gasoline, or whatever it is, which makes it feel rough, aggressive, and terribly unpleasant to me. I hope that by macerating it as I’ve read in comments, it improves. For now, I wear it letting it sit for half an hour before going out so I don’t repel people, and I try not to obsess over whether it smells good yet, because it keeps smelling bad until about an hour later.

  • Pendragon

Too rich of a perfume. The first time I tried it, the scent was strange, almost unpleasant, but after two weeks of resting, it changed completely for the better. I define it as warm, sweet, and intoxicating. It’s a good alternative for aroma and price for winter, since it’s very sweet and I can really feel the coffee note. Lasts on clothes for days, on my skin it performs for 6 to 7 hours, and the price is a joke.

  • Same as the review below, it happened exactly to me, now it’s a total bomb for what I paid, but at first it was horrible!

  • Just received it. Two sprays: smells like a new car, burnt plastic, unpleasant, though with a sweet base. Reading previous reviews, I should let it macerate and come back to review it. I’ll give it time because I believe it can change, and that’s what I hope for. The good thing about these blind buys is the adrenaline of wondering what this fragrance will be. Let’s give it two chances and have patience.

  • ShiseidoTactics

I had the same impression as others: a synthetic opening, like new car plastic. But once it dried down, it revealed a very authentic side that doesn’t remind me of anything else. Now that I’ve read the listed notes, it seems even more interesting. But the local price ($53) makes me hesitate…

  • Ajayeb Dubai isn’t a first-date fragrance. If I’d stuck with that synthetic, almost plastic opening—like a new car in the sun—I would have thrown it away. But patience works miracles. Months later, it’s a beast: the pineapple turns smoky and elegant, the coffee stops burning and becomes creamy vanilla. It’s sweet, lactonic, masculine, and addictive. The longevity is decent and the sillage is contained, which is a plus. It’s not versatile; it works best in cold weather, period. It doesn’t smell like Black Phantom or usual clones, which is a merit in this sea of copies. For the price, the value is indecent. The problem is Lattafa launches perfumes at TikTok feed speed without testing them. Ajayeb smelled like a mistake at first, only revealing its worth over time. With more control, it would have convinced from the start, but when haste rules, the consumer provides the patience.
