Imaginary Authors is an independent perfume house based in Portland, Oregon. Its approach presents each fragrance as if it were a book: it has a title, a fictional author and a brief synopsis. The format allows the catalog to be organized by stories and to choose sample sets before buying a bottle.
The current offer includes perfumes, candles, body oils, soaps, shaving products and art prints. The brand also works with external collaborators. A City on Fire became part of the regular line after a local collaboration, and A Whiff of Waffle Cone was born alongside Salt & Straw.
