Citrusy, floral, and soapy, with an elegance that it doesn’t quite live up to.
One of my favorites, as I’ve mentioned before—citrus is my strong suit. The opening is brutal, mandarin-like, and I wish it would last forever, but it slowly fades and gives way to the flowers; I notice the jasmine the most. It has decent longevity if sprayed on clothes, not so much on skin. The price is high, not because of the scent, but due to that lack of staying power.
Reminds me a lot of Clinique’s Happy and Lancôme’s Oui. It’s fresh, floral, and the opening is strong with lemon, but then it settles and becomes lovely. Lasts about 7 hours with a moderate sillage. I love its freshness; it’s a great perfume.
In my opinion, Tory Burch is very similar to Clinique’s Happy. It’s a delicate, citrusy fragrance, like a wave of freshness. The opening is super citrusy: grapefruit with sweet mandarin, then the floral dance where peony takes the lead on my nose, followed by mimosa, orange blossom, and neroli, closing with a well-blended musk and woods. What I like most is the heart, those floral notes bathed in citrus. Is it innovative? No, but it smells pleasant, clean, and fresh. The projection is very soft, longevity is good but stays close to the skin. For the price, I expected more.
It’s citrusy, fresh, lightly floral, and very sophisticated. Very pleasant, though it just doesn’t fit my personality.
