It’s a delight… Nowhere near unisex; it’s definitely for women, and I say that with total conviction, but what a delight! Iris is the star. It’s quite consistent: the notes don’t hide or get lost; each one says, ‘Hey, I’m here!’ Every woman should own a bottle!

I agree with Shiseido: this leans more into ‘feminine energy.’ The blend of iris, orange, citrus, and tonka bean reminds me of Guerlain’s Shalimar, but this feels more botanical, candid, green-woody, and ambered, whereas the other is sweeter and more sensual. It’s one of my favorites to wear and enjoy. I expected better longevity, but I’m not complaining; it’s not meant for all-day wear (a curious contradiction with the name), so I let it fade by afternoon. I use it purely for my own delight. I absolutely love spraying it in my hair! If I don’t wash it, it lasts up to two days. I love feeling the mint burst when I spray it, followed by the iris, tonka bean, amber, always alive, pine… it creates a super pleasant and comforting sensation. Sometimes it smells resinous with a hint of smoke. On cold days or at dawn, it releases a delicious scent that reminds me of December, giving me hope and a good mood. Anyway, it’s fine, delicate, and well-made. I really like it. Sometimes it makes me think of fairies, and for some reason, old dolls. I’ll wear it more at night to gaze at the starry sky its name promises.

  • Fir and mint: two notoriously tricky notes that really shine here. It smells ‘special’ and works great for me. There are luxurious foresty hints of pine and spruce (I wish they were a bit stronger). It starts out citrusy with that Goutal cider vibe and a touch of iris, then warms up into something balsamic. I expected less longevity from a bar, but it smells amazing and feels high quality.
