First time with Faconnable, which was already around in Argentina back in the 90s. It’s a classic fougère from that era: opens strong with mint, citrus, and cardamom, then after two hours gives way to nutmeg and cinnamon, though I barely notice the cinnamon. I can’t really detect the dry down. The projection is powerful and the longevity is decent, about six hours, after which it fades to skin scent. It’s a very generic 90s aroma, nothing unpleasant, and I’ve gotten compliments on both the scent and the projection during those first two hours. Perfect for work thanks to that herbal-citrus-spicy vibe that feels clean. It also works well for casual dates. It’s a daytime scent that shines on spring mornings or warm summer afternoons without being too hot. I wouldn’t recommend it for night since it’s so much of a morning vibe, but if you want to wear it out, go for it. In short: a 90s fougère, suitable for both formal and informal settings, with strong sillage and projection that definitely earn compliments.
