The idea is all about contrast: a spiced, green-bright start moves into a balsamic floral heart before settling into a deep base of brandy, vanilla, resins and woods.
The opening blends rhubarb, pink pepper and Ceylon cinnamon. Rhubarb brings tart green freshness, pink pepper adds a lively sparkle, and cinnamon smooths the edges with soft, sweet warmth.
At the heart, incense, Peru balsam, rose and geranium take over. The incense feels clear and slightly smoky, mellowed by the creamy sweetness of the balsam. Rose and geranium add a floral layer that is both velvety and a touch green.
The base brings together cypriol, saffron, guaiac wood, sandalwood, brandy, vanilla, oud wood and ambroxan. This is the richest stage, where dry and creamy woods meet the signature liquorous note.
Worn on skin, it reads woody and warm spicy, with amber, balsamic and rosy highlights over a vanilla-leaning, faintly smoky trail. The oud and the aromatic, fresh-spiced facets keep the structure defined without turning harsh.
