Hawas Elixir by Rasasi

Better than the original Elixir. They removed the honey that made it heavy and replaced it with a subtle chocolate note, making it much lighter and more wearable. I already owned the Elixir and sold it because I was drowning in that honey and its density. I think Hawas is more palatable for the majority.

About 80% similar, rich, good, and affordable. That rich mint note dominates.

Honest opinion: as a fan but not an expert, it smells almost identical to JPG. Maybe this Hawas has a tiny bit more freshness, but the difference is minimal. Is it a clone? Maybe. But on my skin, this lasts twice as long as JPG. If you like that DNA and don’t want to pay for marketing, I recommend it 100%.

Hi, I bought it for about €30 for 100ml a few months ago. Summary: it’s an inspiration of Jean Paul Le Male Elixir, but with two points less sweetness, one less spice, and two points more ‘fresh’/mint. For me, like this, it’s great. The original doesn’t suit me because it’s cloying; even with the original, I’ve received comments like ‘pff, you smell very sweet, it’s sickening.’ In contrast, with this one, I’ve received compliments and no complaints so far. I’ve gotten compliments as soon as I arrived. On my skin (dry), it lasts about six to seven hours. Good projection for the first two hours. It causes olfactory fatigue, watch out. For me, it’s more masculine than feminine. I recommend it if you like that twist. I wouldn’t buy it again given what I already have in my collection. Cheers.

I don’t know the original (JPG), but this smells delicious and sexy. I wore it to a bar at night; it projected for two and a half hours and then stayed with me all night. I liked its sweet side, but in the end, it left a somewhat bitter part (I’m not sure what it was, but it smelled like bitter chocolate); it wasn’t unpleasant, but for my taste, it’s not the best part. I recommend it 100% for performance and scent. You’ll surely get compliments.

Great perfume, slightly less sweet than Le Male Elixir, which I also own. Very good projection for the first two or three hours, good longevity, works well in cold weather. Excellent value for money.

My humble opinion. I’m a huge JPG fan; in fact, I own several, including the aforementioned JPG Le Male Elixir. These Hawas always hit the nail on the head; I’m also a huge Hawas fan (I own every one that has reached my country). In this case, the Elixir is 90% similar in the opening and 95% in the dry down. Amazing perfume. Longevity over 8 hours and lasting 2 days on clothes, trail around 2 hours, incredible quality in the materials used. Having said that, is it worth buying JPG thinking it’s 3 times better? No, it’s not worth it. This Hawas does its job without falling behind.

This perfume gave me fantastic performance right from the first spray. It smells exquisite, a sweet vanilla that doesn’t leave people indifferent when they smell it on you. From the very first day, I got compliments, and I didn’t even believe compliments were real. The first day I wore it, it sparked a conversation with a group of people we barely knew, and we discovered we shared a love for fragrances. What a good perfume can do is something I never imagined.

It has the Le Male Elixir DNA but highlights that tobacco note a bit more and adds chocolate. It’s a perfume that is dense in the opening, and once you smell it, you know it’s going to last, and it does. In the dry down, it will keep reminding you that it’s still there.

Gold, chocolate, and sweet mint. The opening of Hawas Elixir kicks off with a prominent mint note, very evident in the first few seconds after spraying. It’s a sweet, fresh, and sparkling mint that at times can remind you of the opening of Le Male EDT, even Versace Eros, though here the sensation is a bit creamier and more enveloping. However, in the air, the perfume takes on a completely different nuance: a delicious chocolate accord appears that dominates practically the entire life of the perfume. This chocolate facet intertwines with a soft, gourmand vanilla, creating a warm, appetizing, and clearly youthful aura. It’s not a clone of Le Male Elixir, rather an inspiration, where the dry tobacco of the original is replaced by this sweet chocolate, making it more accessible and even more youthful. As hours pass, the mint volume drops a bit, but if you put your nose close, you still feel the freshness. Still, I reiterate: in the air, what you feel most is the chocolate. As for performance, longevity on skin is very good, but where it really shines is on fabrics: clothes where I’ve sprayed it still smell almost like they were just applied even a week later. It works extraordinarily well on fabrics. Projection during the first hour is notable; in fact, if you overdo the sprays, it can become overwhelming. However, after that initial burst, it drops considerably and settles into a personal bubble, more intimate and less invasive. The atomizer is excellent, dispenses a lot of liquid, and allows for very controlled application. Also, the bottle is pretty, has good presence, and to top it off, the perfume is very cheap for what it offers. Due to its youthful gourmand character, its simple but effective structure, and its sweet-chocolate-aromatic profile, Hawas Elixir works optimally in casual settings and fresh seasons, especially autumn. It doesn’t aim to be sophisticated, but rather sensorially pleasing, and in that purpose, it delivers.

Very Le Male, not as much as Elixir. A bit of a disappointment; I expected something different, though it’s still good. I was expecting it to be sweeter like the Elixir, but it’s not. It’s an approximation, not a clone. It sits somewhere between the original and the Elixir. Fresh, mentholated opening, like Le Male, not like gum. Strong alcohol hit at first that fades quickly. On skin, you get lavender and vanilla in the background; what stands out most is the menthol-aromatic side. Sometimes it reminds me of Le Male. Then comes the chocolate—not sweet, which keeps it away from the honeyed vibe of the Elixir. The mint-chocolate combo reminds me of A*Men Fantasm, but compared to it, the difference is clear: here, the mint dominates over the patchouli. After that, it doesn’t offer much more. Tonka bean lingers in the background like in the Le Males, topped with chocolate, vanilla, and always the mint. Lasts quite a bit on skin; if someone walks by, they’ll notice. I was surprised it didn’t last long on clothes. Compared to A*Men Fantasm, after a day it’s barely noticeable, and after a week, nothing, while Fantasm is still there. Smells good, I used it almost exclusively for two weeks. People told me I smelled good, but it didn’t turn heads. I’m not sure if I’d buy it again. Maybe yes because it’s a good perfume, or no because I wanted something closer to the Elixir. Maybe it just needs more time to mature. If I don’t delete this in two months, it means it hasn’t improved.

Just got it, first impressions: Scent: Mint dominates for quite a while with a sweet touch, not cloying. Then the slightly chocolatey side comes out, and it leans more towards LME. Longevity: Lasted hours with few sprays (3 on neck, 3 on clothes) without maceration. I’d say around 10 hours. Projection: I barely felt it in the first few hours, then much more. I’m not sure how much it projects yet. For an unaged perfume, it’s a bomb in terms of longevity. Regarding trail and longevity, I need to test it more; with 3 sprays, I’m not convinced. I used it at work, in an office with AC during the late night. It’s perfect for winter. It cost me $50; even though it’s a high price, in Guatemala it’s 400 quetzales, which is a great deal. There are few perfumeries, almost no one sells Arabesque, and the big store only carries designer brands with absurd prices, so $50 is cheap since I ordered it via Amazon. I recommend it, it seems like a good dupe for LME, and yes, it’s a safe blind buy. I’ll update in a few months about trail and projection. For now, 10/10. I’m not an expert, just an average fan. Update – January 2026: Lasts easily 15 hours and on clothes for days. Projection and trail are brutal. EVERYONE who passes by will notice. I like it more than LME and it’s only 1/3 the price.

This perfume reminds me of the sweet Chocoreta. I haven’t smelled JPG Elixir, and I’m not an expert. Hawas Elixir has a pleasant, sweet, and enveloping aroma. I bought it for the bottle, which was a mistake; it leaves fingerprints. Regarding performance, I’m not sure how much it projects, but it lasted quite a bit on my wrist. I bought it twice, once for myself and once for my mother-in-law, both on Mercado Libre. The first one was excellent; the second one from MXPERFUM CITY (on Mercado Libre Mexico) was disappointing: pure alcohol opening, which didn’t happen with the first one. Maybe a newer version or a different batch. In summary, I like the scent, although my experience with the second seller wasn’t good.

Pure mint and hyssop in the opening; I don’t know if it’s me, but I sense a bit of honey, which I didn’t like. I bought it and regret it a little, but I’ll try it more days and times to see how it evolves. I label it as a fragrance not recommended for blind buying. UPDATE: I’ve tested it much more now and think I judged it too soon; now I really like it. First comes mint and hyssop; I don’t sense much bergamot. Then lavender accompanied by dark chocolate and benzoin. As it dries down, tonka bean and vanilla emerge, and you feel the enveloping musk, though I still sense a bit of honey as if it passes through all the notes. Great projection, though I feel some olfactory fatigue. Overall, very delicious; even if you don’t like it at first, you’ll grow to love it.

May 2025 batch: lasted 48 hours on clothes, but on skin it doesn’t project or last long, evolving into a synthetic scent I don’t like. Compared 1-to-1, it doesn’t beat some of my Zara EDPs. Disappointed by the website notes and the Rasasi hype; I think there are paid collaborations. Will update in a few months.
