  We’re talking about the 2019-2020 edition. If you’re a lover of pure ylang-ylang, this is it. It opens with an innocent, citrusy apple, but don’t get fooled. At the 30-minute mark, the ylang-ylang takes over in all its glory: spectacular power and sillage, use with caution, it’s ultra-concentrated. By the two-hour mark, the apple rejoins the ylang to create a super-different and overwhelming aroma. This isn’t for the timid.

  I smell the citrus and lemon grass; there’s also a touch of talc with a hippie vibe that I like. The powdery note gives it a feeling of being for older women, young and pretty for that age group. It lasted 12 hours on my arm. I don’t detect the apple, jasmine, or cinnamon. I wouldn’t buy it.

  I love Lush perfumes, but this ‘Love’ didn’t work for me. It starts with a very sharp citrus and lemony mix. Then the cinnamon explodes, incredibly potent, layered with apple in the heart over a floral jasmine base with a barely noticeable ylang-ylang touch. In the dry down, only the cinnamon remains. The projection and longevity are beastly, lasting over 10 hours, but for my sensitive nose, it’s excessive. It feels more like a winter warmth room spray than a skin perfume. Scent 3.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value 4/10, Versatility 3/10, Packaging 5/10. Would I buy again? No.
