It’s a beast, brutally spectacular. Unmatched cleanliness, elegance, and balance. Citrus notes of orange blossom and lemon, with a touch of honeysuckle and aldehydes that make it bright and sparkling. If you look closely, there’s a dirtier base note that rounds it off almost perfectly. At first, it smells like CK One but with far greater quality and distinction. Be warned: you won’t notice it beyond 3 cm from the skin; the projection and longevity are a disaster, and the price is ridiculous for what you get. It’s nonsense: it gives you everything and then takes it all away instantly.
I was gifted a sample and loved it so much they gave it to me for my birthday. It smells delicious, fresh, and authentic, but it lasts zero seconds. For over 100 euros, especially from Frederic Malle, it’s a bad joke. If you have money to spare and want something rich for your home or sheets, buy it. If it’s for daily wear, don’t even think about it.
Sofia plays with the contrast between fresh and warm. The fresh side is natural and citrusy, while the warm side is synthetic, metallic, and highlighted like in Laine de Verre. Ambroxan, cinnamon, and musk wrap around you like ocean waves on a moonlit night. It’s very conceptual, evolving softly and persistently, but not very potent. The composition is well-rounded and well-made. The downside is the price-to-quality ratio; I wouldn’t pay that much for this. Rating: 7
