Literally a brutal hump whale oud, pure Cambodian style. If you don’t crave this note, don’t buy it blind.
The opening is a challenge unless you have a trained nose for oud. But the quality shines, and the price is a steal for what it offers. It has an acidic, almost fermented touch that makes it light and fresh, ideal for heat. The ‘complicated’ part lasts about 20 minutes before releasing green notes from the cypriol, which stays from start to finish. There are background spices like pepper and nutmeg. The best part is when your sweaty skin reacts to the perfume after hours, fusing it with your natural oils. It lasts all day in the cold and isn’t a projection bomb. Reminds me of Symmetry by Sarah Baker (more wearable than Amir) with flashes of Hayat, without copying it. It’s not as masculine as some reviews claim, though it leans that way. Don’t buy blind, but I did and I have no regrets. Projection and longevity are above average. For 30+, all seasons (prefer cold), semi-formal or formal wear.
It’s a Promise by FM but without the apple, featuring Indian oud. I love it!
I agree the opening is complicated: a very potent, animalic Indian oud that settles down in 20 minutes to reveal green, spicy notes, a touch of floral (rose), balsamic, and dry wood at the end. Not for beginners; you won’t get compliments for wearing it. But if you’re looking for powerful, original, and high-quality perfumes, this is exactly what you need. Try it before buying. I used it in heat and cold, and it always worked perfectly.
The opening might scare you, but a few minutes later, once the animalic edge fades, it’s pure magic. Amir Two is complex, deep, and maximally oriental. It’s like an animal clinging to your skin and accompanying you all day. It evolves over time, revealing that unique oud with smoky and resinous nuances; flowers and spices blend perfectly with the density of the woods. Sexy and opulent, a great success by Ajmal.
Seriously, this perfume is tough. If there’s anything you must try before buying, this is the example. In short: very woody, oud with a poop-like scent.
