FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Serenity is a fragrance you can’t judge solely by reviews; I spent a month and a half digging through Fragrantica and official sites with little info, but I dove in blindly trusting the whisky and peach notes, confident it was the best of the three. The first thing I notice is that the opening smells more like raw gin or vodka than whisky, mixed with a talcum powder accord that lingers forever. The peach is there, but it’s not that dry, sweet tea flavor; it’s synthetic, like cough syrup. At first, it overwhelms the nose and isn’t great, but after an hour as it dries down and you keep smelling it, the peach gains a creamy touch, similar to those bulk peach yogurt cups. That gives it a special character. Performance is good: it projects strongly for the first two hours until you’re saturated, but those close to you notice it. At conversation distance, it lasts about four more hours, totaling around six if you don’t overdo it. On clothes, it would last a full day if you don’t expose it to heat and sweat. It smells very unisex, with an extra masculine touch, but don’t expect an alpha male vibe given the sweetness. It’s interesting, very talcum-heavy, with little evolution and an ‘am I loving it or hating it’ character. It feels informal and casual, less robust than the Intensity, so I wouldn’t use it to close deals. In heat, it’s a great ally to mask body odors since the talcum is potent (not powdery). Worth it for the price if you like talcum and sweetness; otherwise, skip it.
