I felt compelled to update this review because I finally wore it all day. Moresque’s Modern Oud starts woody-green with a hint of coriander. The opening is a tiny fresh citrus note, like pine with a subtle acid. In the mid-stage, the citrus fades, leaving the green behind as a dark, wet wood enters, along with a bitter touch (I’m guessing tomato leaf or juniper, though I lean toward the former). The base smells like dark, muted leather, likely from the blend since no leather is listed. The drydown doesn’t change much. It’s not sweet and smells quite masculine. Performance: no massive trail after an hour, but it lasts long on my skin. I sprayed it at 8am and it’s still noticeable with every movement by 5pm. I don’t know if most people will like it or if it attracts the opposite sex, but in summary, I liked it 🙂

  2. Green and rich, right? If you’re looking for a powerful oud, this isn’t it, but it’s a perfume to enjoy all year round thanks to its freshness and the warmth it gains as it dries. The fact that it contains oud is just a curiosity; it smells like a forest and a hike with your dream woman in nature. The price is more than competitive for the quality. It seems pretty decent to me.

  4. Wow, the only review ever :D. This Modern Oud is friendlier than you’d expect from the name and packaging. It opens dark but with a citrus spark that boosts the impact. Maybe that’s the hardest phase; as it dries down, it turns woody, green, and slightly bitter. In the dry down, it’s fresh, pleasant, and masculine. For me, it transports me to a morning in the woods, like camping among pines and breathing the first breeze. It reminded me a lot of a 90s fragrance I have in memory (Extreme Polo Sport), but with a different profile and more depth. To wrap up: even though the sillage is short, the longevity is decent. I know it’s not a 10, but it’s not bad either, despite the complaints in English about its performance.
