@ladamedenoir, I was a huge pot head back in my youth; you’re absolutely right, whether raw or smoked, marijuana has a distinct taste of oil paint, oils, and turpentine. That scent never appealed to me—it’s too harsh, almost fetal, reminiscent of certain birdseed mixes. What does smell good, however, is hashish or pollen, as we used to call it: that pressed, extracted, and aromatized marijuana turned into a slab that crumbles to the touch. That’s truly an intoxicating scent—ultra sexy, incense-like, sandalwood-infused, and laced with nutmeg memories that make your mouth water 🙂
