I have the body mist, which I bought online along with The Blanc to avoid extra shipping fees. It smells like roses; it’s an exquisite fragrance. It doesn’t last long because it’s literally just water, but after a shower, it’s a treat to give yourself a moment of relaxation; smelling roses right in the middle of the city.
Pure Red Rose, straight from a vintage florist. In my opinion, unless you love that specific scent, no way; it brings me horrible memories. I can’t be objective; it seems to have zero versatility. It’s fine that they’re meant to be mixed; surely with a few you can create an amazing combo, but if I have to buy two more just to mix them, it doesn’t seem worth the cost. I buy from a specialized nose because three or four limits here in Argentina are $18,000 for 150 ml… I’d rather go for a Moschino, a CK, or a 2.5 national brand. Fixation 10/10. Scent 🌹 too red. Longevity 👌. Scent: Classless vintage. Versatility 👎🏾. Basically, it goes with everything because it smells like a half-decent cologne 💇
When I apply it, it smells like the red rose from my patio—sharp at first, then it softens and becomes delicate, blending with magnolia and a fruity touch (litchi? I don’t know what that fruit tastes like…). On my skin, it has more than acceptable longevity for its price. It leaves a trail; I notice it on me for a few hours, and people have asked about it. I use it when spring starts, and especially in autumn, when we miss the flowers. I recommend mixing Solinotes scents; I tried Yuzu and Cerisier, and I liked it, though it lasted longer with the latter. Now I’m waiting for the hair and body mist from the same brand and scent, maybe that will last longer. It’s interesting that the mist works for perfuming hair too. I own other Solinotes, but they don’t all leave the same trail or last as long on my skin.
Very rich, soft yet substantial, a charming and fresh rose, as if cut in the first hour of the morning. I don’t know the longevity on skin, but I’m planning to buy it as a shower gel to relax at home after bathing; I like it.
