The osmanthus smells like fresh apricot and here that dominates along with the suede. It’s almost all osmanthus and suede, with a touch of iris and violet in the middle and a musky patchouli at the end. The citrus opening is barely noticeable and fades quickly. It felt a bit boring to me; it doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t say anything to me. It’s in the style of Lutens’ Daim Blond, though Lutens’ version has something more special. I see it more for spring and daytime wear, and it’s quite feminine due to that apricot scent. It lasts a while but soon fades to skin scent. In short, it’s not one of Atelier’s worst, but it’s far from its best creations. It’s an insignificant perfume.
I’m not a fan. The opening is sweeter than citrusy, then it explodes into florals. I guess it’s the osmanthus, which I’ve never tried before. You can detect the suede, but the iris and violet leaves are barely there. It’s not bad, but it’s too floral. It’s versatile: perfect for fall, winter, spring, day, and night. The longevity is good and the sillage is moderate.
