Descripción
Deci Dela by Nina Ricci is a fruity chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 1994, this composition was created by perfumer Jean Guichard. The olfactory pyramid opens with top notes of blackcurrant, peach, raspberry, red currant, brown boronia, and osmanthus; the heart reveals heart notes of sweet pea, rose, freesia, and jasmine; while the base settles on resins, patchouli, cypress, vanilla, and sandalwood.

DELICIOUS! It really is as you say, a unique and exquisite perfume.
It’s a beast, absolutely delicious. I picked it up at the duty-free in Mexico or the Dominican Republic over ten years ago, and although I have very little left, it’s still intact—I can’t believe it! The bottle looks like something Dali himself would design.
It’s one of the best. I’ve been praised for it several times and I can’t find it anymore. Does anyone know where I can get it? Thank you so much!
It’s one of the best; people have showered me with compliments, and now it’s impossible to find. Does anyone know where they can get it made? Thanks in advance!
Deci Delà is a fragrance that feels congruent and fitting for Nina Ricci’s classic and modernist philosophy, aligned with its haute couture roots, even if it seems overshadowed by competitors like Chanel or Versace. Today, younger generations view Nina Ricci more as a perfumery house than a fashion brand. It’s a shame that, despite overwhelming trends, it remains a respected house. Deci Delà is an ergonomic 90s product, familiar to those who know Trésor and Angelique (thanks to its heavy use of middle notes). It needs clear categorization against classics like L’Air du Temps and recent releases like Les Délices. It opens with a medicinal vapor and alcohol, spiced with intense peach that fades quickly, leaving behind fresh peach notes, the tartness of unripe raspberry, and the tension of lilac, all over a sticky, dense, creamy, white, warm, and cozy base reminiscent of herbal tea. The fleeting, flexible heart flashes with a hint of garden pea and leaves a medicinal syrup trail. The base is resinous and oriental, exploding the gourmand side of vanilla and the aromatic axis of patchouli and cypress, blending opposite angles. It’s a nostalgic journey: the buzz of bees in cherry blossoms or the agility of hummingbirds seeking nectar. High intensity, versatile, and functional, suitable from casual to formal settings, perfect for daily wear. With extensive longevity and moderate sillage, it has a honeyed, moving aura consistent with its brand and olfactory family. Production has ceased, but it’s still obtainable through alternative means, assuming the risks. The only downside: it attracts wasps and seems perfectly suited for a ‘Plants vs. Zombies’ garden.
Deci Dela is the fragrance that best captures Nina Ricci’s classic and modern philosophy, aligned with its haute couture, even though the brand is sometimes overshadowed by giants like Chanel or Versace. Today, new generations see it more as a perfume house than a fashion one, which is fair, as it deserves artistic respect. It opens with medicinal alcohol and sweet peach, fading quickly to reveal fresh peach, tart raspberry, and blackcurrant, all over a creamy, dense base like warm herbal tea. The heart is brief, with a nod to vanilla and medicinal syrup. The base blends gourmand vanilla with patchouli and cypress, uniting opposites brilliantly. It evokes the buzz of bees in cherry trees or hummingbirds seeking nectar. It’s intense, versatile, and functional for any occasion, from casual to formal, with long-lasting longevity and moderate sillage. Its aura is sweet and moving, true to its olfactive family. It’s no longer produced, but you can still find it in alternative markets, though with risks. The only flaw: it attracts wasps and smells like ‘Plants vs. Zombies’.
My late grandmother’s second favorite fragrance, which disappeared from drugstores years ago without a trace. Deci Delà was juicy raspberries and peaches—so appetizing and velvety. It was one of those scents you wanted to smell over and over again because of how rich it was. Ultra-feminine, chic, and quite modern for its time; the bubblegum pink bottle with gold accents perfectly captured that intoxicating woman.
My God, I swear that even ambrosia mixed with the finest ripe fruits of paradise doesn’t smell as good as this perfume. Who was thinking when they decided to discontinue it? I met my husband thanks to it back in ’96. Some girls say it smells like sour strawberry, but honestly, it’s like sticking your nose into a basket overflowing with ripe strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. From here, I call upon everyone: let’s gather signatures to bring DeciDelà back. Let this generation’s adolescence know how these 90s gems smelled.
Oh my god! I swear, even ambrosia mixed with the ripest fruits from paradise can’t compare to this perfume. Why did the person who decided to pull it from the market do it? I met my husband thanks to this scent back in ’96. The girl told me she smelled sour strawberries, but honestly, it was like sticking my nose in a basket overflowing with ripe strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries! From here, I’m calling on everyone, please… let’s gather signatures to bring Deci Delà back! Let this generation’s adolescence know what these 90s gems smelled like.
Finally got to try this fragrance. It could easily have been a Cacharel launch—it’s the same nose behind Eden and Lou Lou; all three share that powdery-sweet DNA. They’re not identical, though; Deci Delà is softer without losing its character. The scent is very particular: a powdery fruit accord with delicate, soft raspberry notes. The peach and raspberry blend so well they’re hard to distinguish separately; they merge into one. It has a very muted, slightly boozy vibe. Deep down, nestled between the powder, fruit, and sweetness, there’s a shy patchouli and cypress in the heart—almost imperceptible but adding complexity. Overall, it’s very powdery and sweet. The fruits, flowers, and patchouli play minor roles compared to those two main attributes. It’s not loud; on me, it’s soft but long-lasting. Many compare it to Gucci Rush. Yes, there’s a faint similarity, but Rush is way sweeter, narcotic to the max, and much creamier. Deci is more girly, more laid-back. A rarity from Nina Ricci that feels more like Cacharel.
Could someone help me with Deci Delà? There are three versions and I’m not sure which one feels the most fruity. The one I have is orange-colored, but I don’t smell any fruit notes at all—it’s very woody. I’d really appreciate your help.
Good afternoon, beloved DECI DELÀ… Here and There… I missed you so much! A few months ago, I found you again and relived the past. You are unforgettable. One of my favorite perfumes, which I enjoyed over and over, and now I’m enjoying again. Warm and enveloping, sweet, gourmand, herbal, floral, and resinous. Versatile, suitable for any season and occasion. The small, exquisite bottle, which looks like a sculpture, I keep as liquid gold to live… to dream. A sweet and dreamy scent, yet mischievous and rebellious. I imagine the Amelie from the French movie would wear it. It fits that concept perfectly. Greetings.
Good afternoon, dear DECI DELÀ… Here and there. I missed seeing you so much! A few months ago, I ran into you again and relived the past. You are unforgettable, one of my favorites that I enjoyed over and over again, and I’m enjoying you once more. Warm and enveloping, sweet, gourmand, herbal, floral, and resinous. Versatile for any season and occasion. The tiny, beautiful bottle, which looks like a sculpture, I keep as liquid gold to live and dream. A sweet and dreamy scent, yet mischievous and rebellious. Finally, I have you in my hands. I won’t let you go, not even if I die… I love this scent. I survived years with a mini bottle, smelling and re-smelling it while lying down, imagining those beautiful fields… a majestic, melancholic, dreamy spring… now that I have you, you’re mine. Soon you’ll have a little sister so you’re not alone.
I still have a little bit left, like gold wrapped in cloth… I don’t know how perfume houses commit such blunders: discontinuing fragrances without warning and leaving their fans stranded. Nina Ricci has nothing like it. I can’t forgive them. I hope they reconsider and bring it back to the market.
I still keep a little bit of it, like gold in a cloth pouch. I don’t know how perfume houses commit such outrageous acts: delisting fragrances without explanation and leaving their followers stranded. Nina Ricci has nothing like this. I can’t forgive them. I hope they reconsider and bring it back to the market.
A true gem I wore for years until it was discontinued; I was able to enjoy it again whenever I stumbled upon a forgotten bottle in a small perfumery. The rounded bottle and box design, along with the gold-pink combination, are perfect (though I didn’t like the orange EDP scent). I tried to find something similar, but it was impossible: neither Gucci Rush, Kylie’s Darling, nor the Arabic Rasha came close. I hope it returns, because I haven’t had such a pleasant experience or felt so connected to another perfume since.
The best of Nina Ricci.
Disappointed. Bought it blind (promised myself to stop, but no, haha). Smells sweet and powdery, nothing more. The top and heart notes fade on my skin within an hour, leaving only resin and fruity remnants for about four hours. I understand why people compare it to Yvresse—that was my reason for buying it—but Nina’s version falls short of YSL’s in every way. I’ll use it for work or a quick trip to the market if I can’t swap or sell it at Desapego.
