Descripción

Vetyverio Eau de Toilette by Diptyque is a musky floral woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2010, this composition features the olfactory signature of Olivier Pescheux. The top notes unfold with a vibrant citrus accord of grapefruit, Amalfi lemon, bergamot, and mandarin. The heart reveals a spicy and exotic floral bouquet thanks to geranium, rose, ylang-ylang, carrot seeds, nutmeg, and clove. Finally, the base notes land on a warm and earthy foundation formed by vetiver, musk, and Virginia cedar.

I tried the new Vetiver Eau de Parfum against the EDT yesterday. The EDT is lighter, less acidic, and has a floral touch. The EDP feels more bitter and citrusy, and I found it more masculine than unisex. While every skin changes the scent, I didn’t notice anything floral here. I think the EDT would suit me better since it’s softer and more floral. Both are good, but I recommend ordering a sample, letting it dry, and giving it time; that way you’ll know if it’s for you or not. (This is directed at women).

  • The Vetyverio EDT is a unisex gem: clean and full of character. On my skin, the floral note is a silky whisper that fades quickly, just like the citrus, which barely makes an impression—more of a breeze than an explosion. At first, it smells more like spices and herbs than fruit, but over time it settles into wood, where it truly shines. I’m surprised that despite listing four citrus notes, it doesn’t smell like an acidic bomb; instead, I can definitely detect the vetiver and cedar, which I love. Maybe it’s my blind love for Diptyque, but these are my best buys. It’s not heavy on the trail, yet it lasts for hours, leaving that clean sensation with a powdery touch from the musk.
