Honestly, it smells different. It starts with an explosion of orange and white flowers, all mixed with aldehydes that give it that clean, signature vibe. But then, over time, it shifts to become more resinous and mossy. The initial freshness fades into memory, while the clean notes deepen into something profound. Everything is beautifully assembled. I love it. One caveat: for my daily wear, I find it not very versatile. It’s more of a delightful olfactory experience. Ideal for spring and autumn. I’m not sure exactly where to place it. I finished the decant at home. It performs well with moderate projection. Another hit from Darkbeat.

Thanks to José Manuel, I tried Verhum by Darkbeat. Citrusy and fresh opening, very pleasant. After about 15 minutes, the citrus notes drop, and a sweet, floral, and slightly woody aroma appears, intensifying with amber to give it a warm, oriental touch. On my skin, it lasted 8 hours. Totally unisex.

A very interesting perfume from our friend Darkbeat. It has a vintage feel, reminiscent of old florals, with a floral base of neroli and orange blossom. On the other hand, it’s quite fresh, with a heavy citrus load centered on orange. As Taurien said, I agree: it revolves around this note, becoming an experience in itself, a journey through Mediterranean orange groves. The perfume contains all parts of the tree: flowers (neroli and orange blossom), leaves (petit gran), and fruit (orange). Plus, it has an aldehydic note that gives it a soapy, airy character, sometimes reminding me of neroli and orange blossom gels. The base is woody and balsamic, which makes the performance very good and contrasts with the rest. Scent: 9, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 7, Versatility: 8, Originality: 7, Overall: 8.5.

I close my eyes and see myself walking among the trees, smelling flowers, fruit, branches, and that special atmosphere of sunny mornings. After the opening, which realistically portrays that idyllic field, it’s accompanied by a touch of oakmoss that gives it character. Only at the end does it sweeten with labdanum and amber. Due to its fixative qualities and personality, it’s not a typical citrus; it can dress you for hours and in many situations. It’s unisex. Moderate sillage, 8-hour longevity on skin. Verhum (in Latin ‘word of’) is a beautiful, very Mediterranean scent, perfect for spring or summer days. It’s the first Darkbeat I’ve tried, and it exudes skill and care.
