Although the pyramid says it’s fruity and the top notes are, I’d say it’s very green, and within minutes the marine aspect is noticeable. But it’s not like the usual ‘fresh’ perfumes; it’s much better, more nuanced. I can’t stop smelling it. The green is real, like the smell left on your hands after touching plants (maybe honeysuckle). I love it because I can’t find this anywhere in mid-range perfumery. Totally unisex.
Even though the pyramid says fruity and the opening seems so, it actually smells very green, and after a few minutes, you can detect the sea. But it’s not that generic fresh vibe; it’s much better, more nuanced. I can’t stop smelling it. The greenery is real, like the scent that lingers on your hands after touching plants, maybe honeysuckle. I love it because at this price point, I can’t find anything like it. Totally unisex.
I’m not usually a fan of green perfumes, so I saved Verdial for the end of the Discovery Set, thinking it wouldn’t go down well. It caught me off guard, but very well. It’s a balanced and beautiful scent: green, natural, and creamy, like moisturizing creams but with more punch. Gradually, the fruits emerge, giving it a sweet and fresh touch that makes it unique and totally unisex in my opinion. The dry-down is more balsamic, adding more intensity and longevity. Scent: 8.5. Longevity: 8. Sillage: 6. Versatility: 8. Originality: 9. Overall: 8.
The first from the Darkbeat pack, our usual friend. Unisex, balanced, creamy, and floral. I’ve worn Kouros for six hours, and this has surpassed it, and Kouros is no small feat. Very happy and eager to try the rest of the set. I challenge myself to apply a potent perfume early in the morning to see how the Darkbeat ones perform. Also, of course, from scratch. Highly recommended.
I’m not a huge fan of green scents, so I saved Verdial for last in my Discovery Set, thinking I wouldn’t like it. What a pleasant surprise! It’s a balanced, beautiful fragrance—green, natural, and creamy, reminiscent of some moisturizing lotions but with more intensity. Fruity notes gradually emerge, adding a sweet, fresh character that makes it unique and totally unisex. The dry down becomes more balsamic, boosting the intensity and longevity. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 6, Versatility: 8, Uniqueness: 9, Overall: 8.
First test of our mutual friend Darkbeat’s set. Unisex, balanced, creamy, and floral. I’d been wearing Kouros for six hours, and this perfume completely overshadowed it—Kouros is no slouch. Very satisfied and eager to try the rest of the set. I’m challenging myself to wear a heavy scent early in the day to see how the Darkbeat fragrances hold up against it. Of course, I’ll also test them fresh from the bottle. Highly recommended.
I’m continuing to test Darkbeat’s creations, and this one has captivated me. Maybe it’s my favorite so far, keep in mind I have many left. It has the particularity of being green, which I love, but they’re usually drier; here there’s a very original sweetness and a marine touch that make it personal. Creatively, the combination of notes is very interesting. It’s perfect for summer, but above all, it screams spring. On the opening, I notice the mandarin, though very briefly. Then the fruity sweetness of red berries appears, balancing the freshly cut grass smell. The marine aspect adds a subtle salty counterpoint. As it evolves, vanilla and a slight moss become noticeable. Very unisex, balanced, refreshing yet sweet. I love fresh green fragrances over citrus ones, and this also has sweet and salty nuances. Its trail is moderate and lasts about 6 hours on my skin. Scent 8.5/10. Longevity 7/10. Sillage 7/10. Versatility 7/10.
I’m continuing to test Darkbeat’s jewels, and this one has won me over. Maybe it’s my favorite so far due to its originality, though I have many more to discover. Smells rich, fresh, and green, like herbs with a fruity touch and a hint of citrus. It’s unisex, a non-mass-market aroma, true niche. Highly recommended. Congratulations to Darkbeat for this contribution to the sensory world.
New Darkbeat Parfums launch, kindly tested by José Manuel. The opening is intense, an explosion of sensations. You can detect mandarin mixed with fruity sweetness and a touch of green leaves that add freshness and lightness. As it dries down, it gains floral notes without losing that initial sweetness. On my skin, it lasts about 7 hours. Unisex, classy, delicate, and very elegant.
Another new release from Darkbeat Parfums that I tried thanks to the kindness of José Manuel. The opening is rich, an explosion of sensations. You can taste the mandarin with its fruity sweetness and the green leaves that add freshness and lightness. As it dries down, it gains a floral touch without losing that initial sweetness. On my skin, it lasted about 7 hours. A classy, delicate, and very elegant unisex fragrance.
At first sniff, it smells like bubblegum shampoo; it doesn’t grab me at all… not my favorite from the house for now.
It seemed like a normal, linear fragrance based on the notes and structure, but it’s anything but. It opens green, fruity, sweet, and pleasant. A few minutes in, the raspberry emerges, then the green notes return with more intensity while the raspberry lingers and white flowers join in. Very complex despite its apparent simplicity; a great job with an excellent result.
This is currently the one that doesn’t quite hit the spot for me among the Darkbeat line. I’ve tried several, and I’m not saying I dislike it; I just don’t see myself wearing it. It’s green and sweet, full of nuances, but simply not my style. Maybe after trying some of their absolute masterpieces, I’ve raised the bar too high, but I’ll keep exploring other scents.
