Surprise! A fresh, citrusy, and clean fragrance, super versatile and unisex. It lasts about 5-6 hours, so for the price (excellent), I can spray it guilt-free. The initial alcohol hit isn’t as strong as with other Arabic fragrances. It’s not invasive and has that addictive DNA that makes me check my wrist constantly. Very rich. According to experts, it’s about 90% identical to EX Nihilo’s BLUE TALISMÁN (exquisite for me). I’ve had it for two months and will see how it evolves. Time to keep hitting the trigger then 🙂
True Word is an olfactory alarm clock that charges you up in the morning. It starts with juicy, acidic pineapple paired with a prominent cardamom. The heart is understated, but sage adds a wild, fresh floral touch, while vanilla and incense provide body and roundness. What’s interesting is that the initial notes don’t fade; instead, other layers build on top, like an orchestra adding instruments. By the end, the pineapple and cardamom soften, giving way to a creamy sandalwood that boosts longevity, alongside a fine green patchouli and raw tonka bean that add maturity. Olfactorily, I detect certain musky tones. It’s a versatile EDP for any setting except very formal ones. It projects well for the first hour at about a meter, then settles into a personal bubble. With eight sprays, it lasts 7-8 hours on skin in spring or autumn, its ideal seasons. In summer, it loses an hour due to heat, and in winter, it’s not ideal because the cold reduces projection and performance. Compared to Blue Talisman, they’re about 80% similar, but I find True Word’s sandalwood more interesting than Blue Talisman’s wood. As always, don’t just trust the ratings; always test niche scents on your skin before buying and don’t rely on how they smell on paper.
A cheap fragrance that smells luxurious. It caught me off guard at first sniff and has become one of my favorites.
