A very pleasant almond cherry. It opens with honey sweetness and a floral touch. As it dries down, it becomes more talcum-like with a very notable beeswax note. A great discovery for me! Very similar to Divine Perversion by Hedonik but softer. Could be the daytime version of the Bianchi perfume. Scent: 10, Longevity: 9, Projection: 6, Versatility: 10, Originality: 10. Total: 9.5.
Incredible perfume. I’m not a fan of cherry because in almost everything it smells synthetic and plasticky, but here, thanks to the honey and almonds, it’s a touch of candied cherry that’s very natural and balanced. The heart is a fleshy, luminous, slightly powdery violet that’s present in all phases and balances the rest. It’s perfectly executed, very complex despite having few notes. Use it in cold weather only, as it’s strong and can be overwhelming.
It’s been a long time since a perfume surprised me like this. It’s so unique, nothing like that typical synthetic cherry scent. It has a deep, thick density, very sweet. The honey is present, almost solid. It reminds me of Divine Perversion without the leather part. Great discovery for this perfume house; I’ll definitely buy another one.
If you love waxy scents, Francesca Bianchi-style fragrances, or almond notes, you have to try this Thumbsucker. So rich and addictive! Stora Skuggan is a brand with incredibly creative creations worth getting to know. This is my favorite from the line, though Fantome de Maules and Mstipouffer are also well worth it. I finally tried something I always avoid: narcissus. Thumbsucker is a more restrained Francesca Bianchi, perfect for the timid, and it lasted my entire day. It’s not my style; I’m like a kid who only eats nuggets, so the honey, beeswax, and indolic jasmine notes feel strange to me. The perfume is gorgeous, original, and has incredible longevity, but it’s just not for me. Plus, 500€ for 100ml is a price that makes me want to climb to the rafters.
