I love the STORA SKUGGAN brand, but this isn’t one of my favorites. What really stands out is the licorice note, which I adore in perfumery, but that’s about it. It’s not unpleasant, though there are other licorice-based options that work better at this price point. Once the licorice fades, the dry down is a well-executed woody-floral green, but it plays it safe. The performance is moderate, lasting just over six hours, and the sillage is very skin-close, except for that initial licorice burst which I do like. If it stayed this way, it would be another hit. I know many people didn’t care for Azalai, but it captivated me, and I expected more from that line. I absolutely love Thumbsucker and Mistpouffer… In short, I liked it, just not as much as some of their other creations.
