After trying the entire China collection from d’Annam, The Silk Road is the one that really hit me. The opening is a mix of spices and slightly smoky vetiver, almost on the verge of burning, which gives it an interesting edge. What really shines is when it dries down: a dry, hyper-green tobacco leaf emerges, wrapped in a light leather that makes it elegant and seductive. It conveys peace and calm with a strong personality. Inspired by an ancient Chinese spice trading bridge, it recreates the atmosphere perfectly. The longevity is extremely high, which is rare for d’Annam since they usually prioritize concept over performance, but here they nailed it. One of the most realistic tobacco scents I’ve ever tried. Performance: 9/10, Artistic: 9/10, Versatility: 6/10, Final Score: 9/10.
