  Pure sandalwood surrounded by foliage—in this case, fir, cypress, and juniper berries. It belongs to the category of perfumes that smell like a forest. It reminds me of Lab on Fire’s Hossegor, though here the cedar wood supports the sandalwood, which is the star, whereas in Hossegor the resinous notes take center stage. It’s clearly a woody, warm, and very well-balanced fragrance.

  This is my signature: sandalwood, juniper, cedar, and bergamot. Hands down, it’s my favorite fresh scent. Elegant, versatile, and easy to wear, I use it daily, at night, or for events. It really stands out. Like all fresh fragrances, it doesn’t last as long as I’d like, but it deserves its 6 hours with good projection that fades starting from the third hour. I’d recommend it blindly. Maybe my struggle to find elegant fresh scents that work with a suit plays a part, but I’m not lying: it’s my favorite. It smells nothing commercial, lacking the sweetness of Erba Pura or the ‘baby doll’ vibe of Prada or Montblanc. It’s the first one where the juniper really shines, and at least for me, it’s fascinating.

  I swear I own Orto Parisi’s Megamare and it has a salty touch that reminds me a lot of it, but this one is much more aromatic and herbal. It’s not for everyone; it requires a developed palate and an appreciation for this profile. I just remember the opening so vividly.
