I’ve been wanting to try this brand for a while now, especially with all the hype lately. It’s been around in Chile for a bit but never really made waves; I discovered it through videos from abroad and found it intriguing. I was hunting for iris-based scents and this Talco kept popping up. I eyed it lovingly but never found it at a good price until one day it appeared for a steal, so I pounced. It smells exactly as described: talc, but velvety and silky. The opening has a slight animal vibe from the musk and ylang-ylang that might scare you off at first, but then the rose and iris take over, turning it into a gorgeous baby powder scent that dries down soft and angelic. It can also smell like crisp white sheets, though for me, it stays firmly in the baby powder category. The base notes—tonka bean, amber, vanilla, and woods—just provide support without stealing the show; this perfume is far from sweet. Lasts about 6-7 hours on skin: strong projection that fades to moderate before disappearing. Leaves a nice trail and projects just enough to make people think you smell clean, not like a baby bottle. NOTE: This is for lovers of musky, powdery, non-sweet scents. If you’re a fan of sweetness, stay away because the realism might freak you out. Do not buy blind!! IG: @vale.perfumatica
I’d been searching for this brand for a while, especially with all the noise it’s been making. It arrived in Chile without much force; I knew it from videos abroad and found it interesting. I was looking for iris and this Talco always came up. I wanted it but not at a good price, until I saw it for a steal and grabbed it. It smells like the name: velvety, silky talc. At first, the opening with musk and ylang-ylang is a bit animalistic and scary, but then the rose and iris take control, turning it into a gorgeous baby powder scent; when it dries, it’s soft and angelic. It can also smell like soft white sheets, though for me, it stays as talc. The base has tonka bean, amber, vanilla, and woods that just support without being the stars, and it’s far from sweet. Lasts about 6-7 hours on skin: strong opening that drops to moderate and then fades. Leaves a good trail and projects just enough to make people think you smell clean, not like a baby bottle. Watch out: it’s for lovers of musky, powdery, non-sweet scents; if you like sweet stuff, get it off your radar because it’s very realistic. Not for blind buys.
The name says it all: pure baby powder. I’d wear it at home to feel powdered and clean, but not for going out. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not what I want to project.
