Bittersweet review: I love the scent, but it hurts to think about what was lost with the reformulations. I have the EDT, not the EDP. It opens citrusy and green, then blooms with a soapy, very powdery touch. It’s classic and elegant; for me, the ylang-ylang stands out as natural, green, and fresh, not sweet. The clove also shines. In the dry down, it leaves a dry amber with a hint of animalic. The sillage is moderate and lasts 6-7 hours if you apply generously, because I feel it’s gotten very watery now. The bottle with its elegant lines and gold details is pure perfection and exudes luxury. A Jean Patou that couldn’t be missing, though it makes me nostalgic to imagine their perfumes in their golden age. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 6.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 6.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 9.5/10. Would I buy again? No.
