  • I notice too much coconut at the opening and can’t focus on any other aroma. It’s something personal; I associate the smell of coconut with tanning lotions. After some time, I perceive the cedar. Once hours have passed, it does remind me of a beach day, with sun and sea salt.

  • Green Nico

Another new release from Darkbeat Parfums thanks to José Manuel. The opening feels potent, sweet, and delicious. Perfume perception varies from person to person; I can’t distinguish the individual notes. From start to finish, I find it totally linear: a delicious melon scent, one of my favorite fruits. Like when you open it on a hot day and see it’s well-ripened, sweet, and ready to eat. It sweetens gradually until it disappears. It lasts about 5 hours on my skin.

  • At first glance, I don’t find excessive differences between this and Philosykos or perfumes in that same vein.

  • Sombra is my favorite from Darkbeat because it fits my tastes perfectly. The opening is super brash, piercing, bitter, and difficult. Fortunately, once that typical sharp, green fig leaf scent settles, the aroma refines itself and the coconut starts to emerge, taking the lead for the rest of the wear. It has a good dose of Calone that gives off a sea breeze vibe, a nuance not noticeable at first but more in the trail. When someone walks by, you get that mix of coconut and sea air that blows my mind. It transmits happiness, a desire for summer, joy; it’s solar, beachy, and very easy to wear. Bravo Darky 🙂

  • Fantastic perfume, the best I’ve smelled in this style. It surpasses Philosykos, Fico di Amalfi, and Figuier Eden, which aren’t exactly ordinary. At first, it literally smells like crushed fig, with a clear presence of coconut, a bit of orange, and green tea. After 15 minutes, I smell cilantro to me—a mix of celery, parsley, and a citrus touch. Very rare, but that’s what I perceive. Then the room fills with those super-natural nuances of fig, leaves, figs, coconut, and tea. I just loved this perfume.

  • Darkbeat is a total winner. That fig leaf note stays with me, and it’s super realistic—I absolutely love it. It opens with a bright coconut that fades gradually, leaving behind a fresh, sweet, and creamy blend at the end. All three notes work beautifully together, perfect for spring, summer, and those autumn transitions. On extremely hot days, I’d save it for another time. It’s an energizing, happy scent that I can’t stop sniffing on my wrist. Unisex with good projection and average longevity, around 5-6 hours. Edit: if I apply it right on the skin, it lasts a bit longer.

  • A masterpiece by Darkbeat. The entire journey features a very realistic fig leaf note that I absolutely love. It opens with a bright coconut that fades gradually, leaving behind a fresh, sweet, and creamy blend until the very end. The three chords coexist beautifully, making it ideal for spring, summer, or autumnal transitions. I’d avoid it on extremely hot days. It’s a revitalizing aroma that brings me happiness; I can’t take my nose off my wrist. Unisex, with good projection and medium longevity, about 5-6 hours. Edit: I’ve found that fixing it closer to the skin lasts a bit longer.

  • It’s been almost 4 years since I first tried this perfume from my good friend Darkbeat, and the magic of chemistry has done miracles. It’s as if time has sanded down that bitter, brash opening note. Where it once smelled of fig under the sun with a rough stemone that could scare off the impatient, it’s now a smooth rock: you can set your foot down without hurting yourself. The rest is pure glory. Jose M. has combined the best of summer perfumes: a creamy coconut like sunscreen, a touch of Calone that smells like a sea breeze under the shade of a tree, and it carries that sunscreen scent with it. Take the best of Ichnusa, Soleil Blanc, and Un Air de Bretagne and mix them into this artisanal elixir that deserves a spot on my favorites’ podium for the heat. Simply immense, Darkbeat.
