Descripción
Silver Scent Intense by Jacques Bogart is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2009, this composition features an olfactory pyramid crafted by a master perfumer. The top notes unfold the freshness of African neroli, bitter orange, and Amalfi lemon. The heart reveals a complex harmony of lavender, geranium, cardamom, nutmeg, rosemary, and cilantro. Finally, the base notes land with the warmth of tonka bean, oud wood, teak wood, vetiver, and oakmoss.

A friend wore it and it brought back memories of Dubai! It’s packed with oud and tonka bean, super sweet and long-lasting. I love it, even for women.
A friend wore it and it brought back memories of Dubai. Lots of oud and tonka bean, super sweet and long-lasting. I love it, even for women.
Smells like Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial but for winter and unisex. Rosemary and teak dominate, though the oud smells a bit synthetic. A salesperson told me it ‘smelled like Frescolita,’ but I prefer the original Lapidus.
Shiseido, Soul Imperial has nothing to do with this. TLBS Imperial has a point of sweet coffee that makes it warm, enveloping, and wintery. For my nose, this is a bright, summery, and blooming neroli, sharp in a green floral facet thanks to oakmoss. I think you were referring to the Deep version, which has a creamy hazelnut tone that makes it gourmand, more wintery and soft. I have it right in front of me now and I don’t get any woods (at least not right after spraying). For me, it smells great, pity that that brightness doesn’t last long. Bogart, in any case, has conquered me. Note 2: the wood (probably oud) blends very well with the rest, which is why I didn’t perceive it at first; it’s definitely there but not perceived separately from the rest, but very well integrated, almost going unnoticed since the neroli is very eye-catching. Note 3: yesterday my brother-in-law wore it at a wedding in the middle of summer in Seville, it lasted +12h and was very noticeable. Very good scent, I love it. The neroli-lavanda last until the end of the fragrance.
The Soul Imperial by Shiseido is a different story. This one has a bright, summery, floral neroli with a green touch from oakmoss. The Deep version is creamy and hazelnutty, softer. The oud wood integrates well and goes unnoticed at first. My brother-in-law wore it to a summer wedding in Seville and it lasted over 12 hours. The neroli and lavender last until the end. It has won me over.
Exquisite and erratic fresh and warm opening from the orange blossom, mixed with rosemary and fermented bitter orange, and beautifully decorated lavender. It reminded me a lot of Joop Summer, that peppery sting I think is the cilantro here. The Oud is actually faint but it’s there, obviously not like Ferrari Oud where it’s majestic. Silver Scent Intense is a fragrance of surprising quality, longevity, and trail: easily 10 hours. The only criticism is that the atomizer doesn’t distribute very finely or mine comes out a bit more generously in application; I like those that come out as a soft mist, like Narciso Rodríguez.
I have a terrible relationship with this brand. The base doesn’t bother me, but the main oud smells animalistic and dirty, and that kills it for me. The regular version is the same but without that oud, and while it’s more pleasant, it doesn’t add much. The good part is hard to describe; it’s not a realistic scent. I imagined zesty fruit, but it’s sweet and balanced with lavender, orange blossom, and indolic notes. It might fit the price, but it’s not a scent that makes you feel real.
What a bad experience I’ve had with this brand. What’s in the background doesn’t entirely disgust me, but it’s that the main note is an animal and dirty oud that I hate. The regular version seems practically the same but without that oud note, so it seems more pleasant to me, but still doesn’t add much. This more pleasant part is hard for me to describe because it’s unrealistic. Based on some comments, I imagined some very sweet, flashy fruit, but although it’s sweet, it’s balanced with lavender, bergamot, something indolic, etc. I say all this looking at the pyramid, otherwise I wouldn’t get it clearly hahaha, because as I say, it’s not a very realistic scent, although for the price it can fit.
Hi hi, I’m here to share my opinion on this fragrance. The first thing that caught my attention were the positive comments on Fragrantica in English about this flanker, as they said the regular ‘Silver Scent’ mother was very synthetic, that they reformulated it, and that it didn’t last. I thought: ‘well, since the Intense sucks so much, let’s go for the… it’s cheap and probably isn’t the big deal.’ But since I saw it had Oud, I said: ‘ugh, I was scared of the Oud, it’s not a wood everyone likes, it can be very potent and isn’t something you buy blind.’ With fear, I knew the Oud I’d receive would be synthetic or poorly mixed due to the cost, haha. But to die, I ordered it, received it, and nervously opened it. I sprayed it once and my fears vanished. A fruity scent with a synthetic touch but not too much; I’ve never smelled Oud, but I felt a very potent wood and I liked it. Its smell is like fermented grape, in my country Chile it smells like grape chicha. Haha, it’s not a bad fragrance, it didn’t blow my mind, but it’s rich and youthful. That said, it’s very linear and I don’t think it’s for everyone. I don’t find much difference from the Intense because in duration and projection it’s average: 3 hours strong and from 6 to 7 it drops, after that it continues but it’s a scent you’ll only smell on your skin. It’s not for adults either, it can vary by age, but from 24 years up it’s fine. For warm climates: hmm, no. Cold days, in my opinion, for both day and night. During the day it can be casual and at night party-ready. Blind buy: hmm, if you like fruity scents for the price, you’ll like this Silver. This is a friendly Oud.
Good, pretty, cheap, and bombastic. If you’re looking for natural, forget it; it’s synthetic but balanced. Sweet and chewy citrus opening, like chicha but fresher, with orange blossom (not neroli). The oud is light and bright, nothing earthy. The aromatic blend is warm and spicy, though synthetic. Projection drops by the third hour, but then the tonka bean explodes with a creamy, sweet touch. Beast mode performance: lasts over 12 hours. Versatile, from casual to formal, but not for daily wear or extreme heat. Ideal for hanging out with friends or parties. Watch out, it can be overwhelming if you use too many sprays. Scent: 8.5/10, Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10, Price: 10/10. Exquisite but not very innovative.
Good, pretty, cheap, and, as the Portuguese say, bombastic! First things first: if you’re looking for a natural scent, you won’t find it here, but it’s a fairly balanced synthetic fragrance (not entirely). Sweet and chewy citrus opening, very similar to chicha for Chileans, but with a more citrusy touch. The dominant note for me is orange blossom, which I don’t think is neroli, as the latter has a more herbal and refined opening, whereas orange blossom is sweeter. In the base, there’s a fairly light, bright, and synthetic oud; it’s not that earthy, acidic, well-wooded niche oud. The treated oud here is the lightest you can find and is accompanied by that chewy sensation, perhaps coming from tonka bean. That sweet, chewy citrus opening lasts an hour with strong projection. Then, after an hour, it becomes more aromatic and herbal. Back to the synthetic point: in a high-quality natural niche fragrance, you can feel the quality of each component, but here you feel a mix of all the aromatic and herbal elements that are impossible to separate. You can smell the cilantro, lavender, geranium, and rosemary (the last two are subtler), all mixed into a warm and spicy combination. At this point, it stops being fresh but still retains that bright sensation that disturbs the nose. In my opinion, this might be the weakest part where the projection drops near the third or fourth hour. Suddenly, by magic, the fragrance comes back to life, turning warm, spicy, and balsamic. The dry down is almost gourmand, slightly nutmeg and cardamom, giving that warm spice a slightly elevated feel in its fade, and then BOOM! Tonka bean in all its glory, alongside a slight woody but sweet, almost creamy sensation. It can last hours. In performance, it’s a beast: moderate to heavy projection for 3-4 hours, then it calms down for a couple of hours before those bursts of tonka bean and chewy wood last until the next day. Skin longevity is easy: 12 hours, it lasted me more than a day. Usage: Super versatile, from semi-casual to formal (although compared to niche scents, the quality is lower, the scent is succulent). It’s not meant to go unnoticed; some people might be bothered by that chewy aroma (sometimes it made my stomach churn when testing it). Ideal for going out with friends, parties, maybe romantic. With more than 6 sprays, it can overpower any other scent. I don’t see it for daily use; it’s like wearing Joop Homme every day. These strong scents should be used moderately for the public good. Seasons: Winter, autumn, and even spring. It’s sweet but bright, not that sweet, caramelized, cloying gourmand. Maybe it’s cloying, but brighter thanks to the fresh citrus contribution. Forget this on hot days; maybe one or two sprays if you want to try, but this lasts until a fresh spring day. In my opinion, it’s for both day and night as long as the sun isn’t scorching. Scent: 8.5/10 (10/10 for the price, it’s not original and the synthetic nature lowers points), Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10 (a beast mode, but there are bigger beasts), Versatility: 7/10 (nothing sporty, nothing very formal, and far from extreme heat), Price: 10/10 (I got a tester for 8 Lukas, $12). Final note: 9/10. Exquisite scent, a bit synthetic, with great projection and longevity, but nothing innovative and with short versatility.
Pleasant, strong, and synthetic. Smells like sweet, chewy fruit, something like UVA. It’s incisive but lasts long and projects well. Not a bomb of compliments, but it catches attention. Informal, for hanging out with friends or nights out. It’s noticeable always, even with few sprays, even at the gym. Although it’s sweet, I notice it’s fresh. Use it moderately because being so synthetic can be overwhelming.
Did they reformulate this line? Less of the Deep, seems like water. The scent doesn’t last long on me; when they said it lasted forever, now I notice it’s weak.
Have they reformulated all three in this series? Except the Deep, I think that’s the name, they seem watery. It lasts me very little. Reviews say it lasted forever, but I find it super weak…
Pleasant, strong, synthetic, smells like sweet and chewy fruit, something similar to grape. It’s interesting but quite incisive, lasts long, and projects well. It’s not a compliment bomb, but it gets noticed. Informal, for hanging out with friends, at night. You can constantly detect it; with just a few sprays, you can even wear it to the gym. Although it’s sweet, I find it fresh. That said, moderate your use because it can become overwhelming over time due to how synthetic it is.
Scent: Excellent, Projection: God Level, Longevity: God Level, Quality: Very Good. Blind buy: Yes!!!! 10/10. Incredible price and quality. It’s a compliment machine, especially at night. It’s a perfume made for the evening. If you like compliments, this is by far the best option on the market.
Without a doubt, the best one from this brand. I’d wear it in winter for a hunting trip because it’s sweet and very intense. It’s a 90s-style perfume, nothing like a Dior or a Paco Rabanne. I recommend it for people over 30.
I bought it blind because many people recommended it, and I regret it. It’s maxed out on synthetic, with an alcoholic opening and a nasty, plastic, even vomit-inducing smell. I don’t know what the general public thinks, but buying $10 pirate perfumes at the fair, I’ve found things countless times better. If you know someone and you put this on them, you smell like a synthetic carnival horse, something that doesn’t help, especially with women. Scent: 2/10, Projection: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10 (it’s bad and hard to remove, luck to whoever wrote the good reviews).
I bought this blind because everyone recommended it, and I regret it. It smells super synthetic, with a harsh alcohol opening and a plastic scent that actually makes me nauseous. I don’t get why people defend it; I’d rather wear a $10 dupe from a flea market that smells 100 times better. If you think you need to ‘understand’ fragrances, let me tell you: smelling like synthetic fairground horse manure doesn’t help, especially around women. Scent: 2, Projection: 8, Longevity: 9 (it’s nasty and hard to wash off, good luck to anyone who praises it).
