  Nailed it. Thanks to a lady who let me try it and chat with her husband, I discovered this gem. It’s fascinating how a suit, using ‘you’ (usted), and proper manners can bridge the gap between different lifestyles. I’m not a collector, but I love exploring scents; so, speaking of roses, they taught me about ‘Rose Millesimee’. Upon application, I loved it: it starts with a fresh, clear rose, with a spicy note that adds strength (they said it’s an apple compound, though I didn’t taste any fruit) and very subtle. The development is like a bouquet in a vase: it smells of water with petals, fresh flowers, and something I’ve never experienced before—flowers beginning to wilt. Very well done, roses in different states. They explained it’s the ‘Centifolia’ variety, with a honey sweetness that I didn’t notice, but I imagine it’s because I wasn’t comparing it. At the base, a musky note that anchors the scent, since the fragrance fades like a rose. It has both trick and danger: it lasts long and projects well, so you need to moderate the amount to avoid overwhelming. It looks feminine, sensual, and elegant. It’s pricey and a limited edition due to the difficulty of sourcing that rose oil (harvested manually at dawn). I’m glad I tried it and learned from it. For my wallet, I won’t try it again, and even if I could, I don’t think it’s my kind of investment. But for rose lovers with a generous budget, I recommend giving it a try.
