  • Probably the best thing Oliver & Co has to offer is this Resina: a blend of various resins, anise, and perhaps a slightly distorted floral touch (jasmine?). Despite all the resins, it smells amazing, with anise dominating and a slightly sweet dry-down. Everything is well-blended, and the ingredients are better than the Nebula series I tried before. It’s totally unisex; the only downside is that it’s a bit one-note. If there’s anything that could be improved, it’s the projection, which is quite limited.

Nice perfume that, as Brasidas says, suffers from monotony and projection: what you smell at the start is what you smell at the end, with no evolution. It’s sparkling, acidulous, anise-forward, and very resinous. A cheerful, radiant fragrance that makes me think of prehistoric times or ancient civilizations, before the world was dominated by men. It’s archaic and earthy, but in a jovial way, not mysterious or dangerous. It’s worth it for that imagery; those who like honey, coconut, and sweet tobacco will surely enjoy it, even though it doesn’t contain any of those notes. It sounds more masculine to me, but it’s very sexy. P.S. Editing to confirm that after wearing it for two days, I’m reaffirming its earthy nature. It’s a strange abstraction, but every time I turn my neck and catch a whiff, I can’t help but imagine a sandy, rocky landscape where a strange priest from an ancient civilization (before Christ) suddenly appears, not to kill you, but to cheerfully say good morning.

Beautiful perfume, but as Brasidas says, it suffers from monotony and projection. It smells the same at the start as it does at the end, with no evolution. It’s sparkling, acidulous (I don’t know if that’s the right word, but ‘acidic’ doesn’t fit), anise-forward, and very resinous. A cheerful, radiant fragrance that takes me back to prehistoric times or ancient civilizations, before men dominated everything; it’s archaic and earthy, but in a jovial way, not mysterious or dangerous. Because of this imagery, it’s worth it. I’d say those who like honey, coconut, and sweet tobacco will love it, even though it doesn’t contain any of those notes. Despite being unisex, it feels more masculine to me. A really sexy perfume. P.S. Edited after wearing it for two days: I’m reaffirming its earthy nature. It’s a weird abstraction, but every time I turn my neck and catch a whiff, I can’t help but imagine a sandy, rocky landscape where a strange priest from a civilization predating Christ suddenly appears, not to kill you, but to cheerfully say good morning.
