,Exuberant and bold fragrance that truly lives up to its name: notable people. The scent is somewhat linear with moderate performance. It opens with citrus, cardamom, and an exquisite champagne note, though the citrus leans a bit sweet. It’s versatile, fun, and unisex. Perfect for sophisticated settings.
An exuberant and bold fragrance that lives up to its name: Remarkable People. The scent is somewhat linear with average performance. It opens with citrus, cardamom, and an exquisite champagne note, though the citrus leans a bit sweet. It’s versatile, fun, and unisex. Perfect for sophisticated settings.
This fragrance is dominated by 2 or 3 notes: grapefruit, champagne, and perhaps a very faint, almost imperceptible hint of cardamom. Upon application, you feel the grapefruit over the champagne, then they blend with equal intensity. An hour later, the champagne dominates, leaving a slightly sweet touch with a citrus undertone at the bottom, lasting about 3 more hours before fading. It’s an ALMOST LINEAL fragrance. Exuberant and bold? Not at all; I’ve seen this scent before: sweet and slightly citrusy, GENERIC, and you end up smelling it and throwing away the blotting paper. One that comes to mind is Versace EROS. Moderate trail for 1h30, low projection for 4h more; suitable for casual or semi-formal occasions, in cool or fresh climates. Rather than remarkable, I’d say it’s UNREMARKABLE.
This fragrance is basically dominated by 2 or 3 notes: grapefruit and champagne, maybe with a very faint, almost imperceptible touch of cardamom. Initially, you feel the grapefruit slightly over the champagne; after an hour, they match in intensity; another hour later, the champagne dominates, giving it a sweet touch with a very subtle citrus in the background, maintaining this for another 3 hours before disappearing. It’s an ALMOST LINEAL fragrance. Exuberant and bold? Not at all. I’ve seen this smell several times, like when you go to see what’s new and they show you several similar ones, sweet and slightly citrusy, GENERIC, and you end up smelling it and throwing away the blotting paper seconds later. One that comes to mind is Versace EROS. With a medium trail for 1.5 hours and low for another 4, of the casual or semi-formal type, for cold or fresh climates. A fragrance that I’d say is more UNREMARKABLE than remarkable.
To me, Remarkable People smells like lemon (or grapefruit) caramel. It’s a sweet, rich, yet unoriginal and generic citrus scent. The champagne adds elegance, and you can detect the cardamom, but that’s about it. Pleasant enough, but I wouldn’t buy a bottle. I’ll enjoy the sample, but that’s it. It reminds me of Dior Homme Cologne, perhaps sweeter. Performance as Arp stated: 4-5 hours on skin with low-to-medium projection, typical for the brand. Unisex, great for daily wear, perfect for spring/summer. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 6, Projection: 6, Value: 5, Versatility: 9, Originality: 5, Overall: 7.5.
To me, Remarkable People smells like a lemon (or rather grapefruit) candy. A sweet citrus aroma that, while rich, is quite unoriginal and generic. It’s true that the champagne gives it a certain elegant air, and the spicy touch of cardamom is noticeable… But there’s not much more. Pleasant? Yes, but I don’t think I’d buy it. I’ll enjoy the sample I have, but little more. It reminds me of perfumes like Dior Homme Cologne, though perhaps a bit sweeter. The performance is as expected: about 4-5 hours on skin with medium-low projection, something common for the brand. Unisex, for daily wear and wearable in spring or summer. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 6, Projection: 6, Value/Quality: 5, Versatility: 9, Originality: 5, Overall: 7.5.
My opinion was similar to most, but I changed it after testing it on someone else’s skin, which helps understand how others perceive it. The opening is effervescent and refreshing, slightly sweet citrus. As it dries down, the sandalwood is soft, and I perceived it as another wood, like cashmere or guaiac, though I’m not an expert, but I assure you the sandalwood is barely noticeable. Overall, it smells ‘strawberry’ (a Mexican expression for classy, wealthy people), but I wouldn’t call it elegant or formal; it’s more casual, semi-formal, and relaxed. Projection in the first two hours is wide, maybe 2 meters, and quickly drops to less than a meter, but it persists for hours with poor intensity: it’s noticeable at a distance, but most don’t notice it as a perfume, more like a hunch. The wearer stops noticing it after 3 or 4 hours, but those around still notice it. On clothes, it lasts until the next day and impressively projects like an arm’s length away. Previously, I was disappointed by the performance as a wearer, but as an observer, it’s different and convinces me. It has great versatility and is excellent for the office, enclosed places, and warm environments, unisex masculine. I recommend it and would buy it again; it seems quite original, discreet, and zero offensive.
I’m wearing it today and think it’s a good time to review. The curious ELdO gifted me this in 2015; the champagne note caught my eye on the paper, and it took years to try it. The opening was mild; I expected something fresher and more opulent, but I found a sweet, sparkling grapefruit. The champagne gives a bubbly, sweet sensation, like sweet ginger or a soda, more refined than loud. Alongside the grapefruit and champagne, cardamom and sandalwood stand out. It’s sweet and bubbly, turning spicy and then woody without losing its sweetness. It’s not gourmand; the sweetness is soft, from orange grapefruit, cardamom, and perhaps an undeclared note. It smells very good and is pleasant, but not groundbreaking. By phases, it reminds me of other perfumes, though the scent is unique. It promises more complexity than it delivers; it’s quite linear and performance isn’t outstanding: lasts about 6 hours with moderate projection and sillage, though the sillage is noticeable at first. It’s very versatile, ideal for daily wear, though it fades in extreme cold or heat, shining in moderate climates. It doesn’t look bad in formal situations. The bottle is gorgeous, pearlescent gold reflecting luxury, and the perfume is visible from below. If I’d tried it before, I wouldn’t have bought it, but since I have it, I like it more and more. It’s very usable, not a challenge, and usually well-liked. It has a pleasant scent without being standout, and at the price, it’s not worth it unless on sale or if you already like it.
I’m wearing it today and thought it was the right time to write a review. The curious house Etat Libre d’Orange gifted me this perfume back in 2015, which caught my attention from the start; that trumpeted champagne note had to be tried, and for a house that’s come a long way, though with several years of delay. The beginning left me a bit tepid, not because it was bad, but because I expected something different, perhaps fresher and more opulent since it’s Remarkable, but I found a sparkling grapefruit for which there is no better word than ‘sparkling.’ The champagne dresses up the grapefruit and adds that bubbling, sweet sensation. I’ve never smelled this note before and equate it to sweet ginger, which in perfumes evokes a soda. The champagne is more refined and less brash than I thought, pairing better to give the just-right touch needed to make it exclusive without being excessively flashy. There are many described notes, but along with the grapefruit and champagne, cardamom and sandalwood stand out. Beyond that, the perfume focuses on that: a sweet, bubbling aroma that becomes spicy with the cardamom and finally woody without losing the initial sweetness. It’s not gourmand; the sweetness is soft and has several origins, both the orange grapefruit and the cardamom. It smells very good and is pleasant, but it’s not groundbreaking; by phases it brings to mind other perfumes, but the aroma is quite unique. Although I expected more development and complexity based on the notes, it turns out to be fairly linear. Its performance isn’t standout: on my skin it lasts about 6 hours, but projection and trail are moderate from the start, though the trail is noticeable for the first few hours. It’s quite versatile, works very well for daily wear, though in extreme temperatures the scent fades, being more noticeable in intermediate climates. Being uncommon, it can be used casually without looking out of place in formal situations. The bottle is gorgeous, with a pearlescent gold that reflects luxury, and the perfume is visible from the bottom. If I had tried it before, I wouldn’t have bought it, but since I have it and have used it, I’ve come to like it more because it’s very pleasant and usable. For a niche perfume, it doesn’t present a great challenge and usually pleases those around me. It’s one of those very pleasant but not standout perfumes that aren’t worth the price unless you’ve tried it, liked it, or find it on sale.
I smelled it similar to Creed’s Silver Mountain Water, though less citrusy and less defined. It didn’t disgust me, but it also wasn’t attractive. The performance is normal. I don’t recommend it.
Normally I don’t write fragrance reviews, but I should… I’m not here to talk about notes; my nose isn’t trained to distinguish them so well. On application, I smell a citrus scent with a very interesting warm touch, but once it dries on my skin, it smells exactly like Pacha Psychodelic, a mix between the old version (the plastic ball) and the current one. I’m not saying it’s not cool, but it lasts and smells just like a low-cost fragrance, so for me, it’s not worth the price. I do appreciate the simplicity, as I’ve encountered scents that drove me crazy, and this isn’t one of them. Stunning for spring/summer; I’ll use the decant I bought and enjoy it a lot, but this decant won’t become a full bottle like many others in my collection.
Normally I don’t write reviews, though I should try more… I’m not here to discuss the notes because my nose isn’t trained enough to distinguish them. Grapefruit with champagne gives it a certain energy boost. I’ve finished a bottle and already bought a second. It’s a refreshing fragrance; you’ll smell great, clean, pleasant, and charming, very wearable. Excellent for everyday wear in spring and summer. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s excellent and has high quality.
100% unisex fragrance, a unique aroma that no one will smell exactly like you; it’s a bottled mimosa. I wish it had more projection and longevity, but you definitely should own it.
I was drawn in by the YouTube reviews and bought it blind, but I’ll keep it brief: I didn’t like it. The opening is interesting and refreshing, but it loses a lot of strength once it hits the skin. I feel it has a feminine tendency and terrible projection; the scent sticks to the skin without any compliments. I don’t recommend it.
Out of all the notes, the ‘champagne’ stands out the most, even though it sounds weird since they probably don’t distill oil from that drink. It’s a trick using sandalwood, cardamom, and grapefruit that gives a Fanta-like sweetness—molasses-y but very light, like a burp from soda hours after drinking it. It also has an elastic, rubbery texture without any resin smell. Then there’s the curry tree, which smells spicy and musky, like turmeric, adding all the depth and saltiness to the fragrance; without it, it would be a boring gummy-bear citrus. I wish it were stronger because my issue is that it leans too much into the gummy side, and the gelatin traps it, making it static and killing it. As it dries down, the sweetness fades a bit and the curry stays, so it improves.
If this perfume kept its first 30 seconds throughout the life of the fragrance, it would be a true masterpiece. Unfortunately, pleasure is always ephemeral and quickly the scent turns into something much less brilliant and heavier that no longer pleases as much. What a pity.
First impression is of citrus, like a flanker of 4711, but something more sophisticated due to the champagne note; however, the evolution leaves much to be desired. It’s a soda that loses its punch like an opened Coke. Unisex, penetrating, ephemeral, and versatile. The beautiful people, the beautiful people… It’s all relative to the size of your steeple. I prefer the one from the fat electrician or the respectable lady from the palaces. 6/10.
If ‘You or Someone Like You’ is like a bespoke mojito, then this ‘Remarkable People’ is like a bespoke mimosa too, but with grapefruit instead of orange. Sparkling at the start and although it doesn’t have a long trail or longevity, you can tell the quality and the intention to transport us via scent to a jet set party. Curious, honestly.
I was drawn to its champagne note, which some describe as bubbly. At first, I have a certain inclination to know this French house in detail for its original proposal (at least in marketing) since the names of their fragrances seem interesting to me. ‘Remarkable People’ is pleasant and original, but in my opinion, it’s hyped by reviewers; I only recommend buying it if you have a particular attraction to a specific note, as I agree most would be slightly disappointed by its poor performance. I liked its vivid, citrusy opening that gives way to sweet champagne, but it quickly loses its initial charm and is left with little projection. For what it delivers, the fragrance is expensive and would benefit from a reformulation that extends its initial charm and improves projection to deserve the hype it’s been given.
The opening is very fresh, with cardamomo and grapefruit predominating, but the latter disappears quickly, making it more spicy and warm. Over time, it becomes increasingly warm, metallic, and floral, reaching the final dry-down after about two hours and lasting on my skin for about 6 or 7 hours. It’s unisex, shines in mild weather, and despite not seeming fresh to me, I think it can be worn in summer. I tried it for the champagne note, which seemed original, but I didn’t notice anything resembling it. It seemed like a slightly more feminine version of MFK’s Gentle Fluidity Silver: a functional perfume that delivers, but isn’t a masterpiece. I see it as perfect for a wardrobe staple or office perfume for a jovial man who wants to convey being friendly and accessible. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 7/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 5/10.
It’s a very strange fragrance: neither fresh nor warm. Although it has notes of mimosa and grapefruit, over time it develops a smoke-like note that I can’t stand on a day or in the heat. What it does well is the compliments; it stands out (instead of getting lost, haha) from the other fragrances. It has just the right potency to last 6-8 hours and project enough in open spaces. (7/10).
I love it! It’s very cheerful, sparkling, and happy. It has that beautiful ‘2000s’ touch. It’s versatile and I think everyone will like it. It’s true that I associate it with young people; it’s fully unisex and retro in a good way. It could be the perfume for Cyber Celia or Damon Albarn, with all the air of the 1999 Benicàssim Festival, as if they bottled that era. I feel it’s super carefree, pretty, light, and optimistic. If it were a song, it would be ‘You and Me’ by the Wannadies. The only thing that could be more remarkable is its longevity, which is quite scarce.
I love it! It’s very cheerful, sparkling, and happy. It has a beautiful touch reminiscent of Dos Miler fragrances. It’s versatile and I think everyone will like it. Yes, I associate it with young people; it’s fully unisex and retro in a good way (you could wear it like Cyber Celia or Damon Albarn; it has a custom-made Benicassim 99 Festival vibe, as if they bottled that era). It feels super carefree, pretty, light, and optimistic. If it were a song, it would be ‘You and Me’ by The Wannadies. What could be more remarkable is its longevity, which is scarce.
It literally lasts 5 minutes… It doesn’t resemble Pacha Psychédélique. If you can smell anything in time, it smells like Johnson’s Baby orange shampoo.
It’s very curious, especially the sparkling citrus opening (probably champagne), paired with a spicy cardamom touch and a sweet base. As it dries down, it becomes more floral with sandalwood, making it very easy to wear. I also detect a slightly smoky nuance. Within the realm of pleasant scents, I find it quite normal; it didn’t surprise me too much and the performance is just right. I recommend it from spring to autumn, especially for daytime use; I don’t see it as formal and it has a youthful air. Within the brand, I find better options.
I’ve quietly tested several fragrances from this house, and this is undoubtedly my favorite. It smells fruity, vibrant, and fun, yet retains an elegant, clean touch. Many compare it to sweet orange soda or Fructis-style shampoo (comparisons I love). I agree it has a bit of a ‘2000s’ vibe: it’s the perfect perfume for a trip to the pool with friends, paired with a 2004 mix and a Fanta. It’s cheerful, clean, and smells like a pleasant shampoo that leaves hair shiny. I see it as perfect for spring and summer, though it can brighten a winter day too. It’s not offensive and everyone likes it, but it feels a bit dated compared to current trends. My only gripe is that it doesn’t have massive projection; it lasts a decent amount of time, but you only smell it up close. Out of all the ELDO testers I’ve tried, this is the one most tempting me to buy the bottle. It’s very daily, special, clean, sweet, youthful, and a perfect mix of fun and elegant.
