This was the milk. I barely remember it, but I’ve spent time thinking about it… Would I be let down if I tried it again? Probably yes. In my head, Relaxing Fragrance was a light mist with a fatty, vegetal undertone, a milky, green, aromatic freshness, narcotic due to that ‘creamy’ tea note (not your usual tea), with luminous, cheerful, and floral sparkles. A spring day, neither cold nor hot.
Today I remembered this perfume that accompanied me through my early college years and to whom I owe so much. I was searching for ‘that’ scent that would give me everything I needed at the time (I don’t even remember what it was anymore) and I found it after a long search at Relaxing. I can’t add anything to the wonderful description by La Dame Noire, nor to Spartaco’s rating of ‘milky freshness.’ I barely remember the smell, but I do remember the comforting sensation of feeling most at home in my own skin. That sweet spot where contained joy dresses itself in vibrant serenity. It was in those days that a curse began that still haunts me: the perfume I identified with, only to have it discontinued later…
